Post: 10 Tips for the average player.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); As an avid black ops player I thought I would share some things that I found helpful in getting the most out of each match I play.

These are not ranked by importance.

1. Pro Perk Glitch - I know this has been posted a million times but everyone should be doing it. It is very simple and if you get creative with copying classes you can really make just about any combination of pro perks by level 14.

2. Prestige Money Trick - Again, it has been posted many times but starting at '1' with 30k in cod money is a huge advantage, especially when using tip#1.

3. Two base classes.
3.1 ghost pro/warlord/hacker/silencer
3.2 hardline or lightweight/sleight of hand/marathon pro class.

4. For guns, it is impossible to beat the versatility of the famas. In my opinion it should be your gun of choice. That being said, the players that have serious skill can dominate by using just about any combo of perks and guns.

5. Kill streaks. As a general rule of thumb, you should be getting your highest kill streak at least once every 3 games. There is no point in having high kill streaks when you never get them. If you find yourself hitting your highest kill streak and getting a few more kills, switch to the big ones.

6. Semtex nades are the better choice unless you have mad skill at cooking the frags, if so, use those.

7. Secondary. Use the Strela. Unless you are sniping or using the shotgun the secondary weapon should never be out. Unless you have a Strela. There is nothing more frustrating/satisfying (depending on how you look at it) than a heinz or chopper gunner go down without landing a single kill.

8. Points. HQ - Demo - Domination - S&Awesome face -
These are the games that will make you level up quick. S&Awesome face is good for the more skilled players, if you die too much your points as an aggregate go up slowly. Demo is good if you have a full squad and can push the time limit to the max. HQ is good if you are playing alone or in a small party. And when double XP is on, HQ is the only spot to be.

9. Concussion grenades should be used in CTF. It slows the flag carry to a virtual halt. As well from my own experience I will still kill you if you flash me, if I get concussed and the shot is not straight on, I die. Decoys are only useful in random strategic situations.

10. Turn your sensitivity up. Most people play with their sensitivity way too low. Turn it up, suck it up and get used to it. It'll save your life someday.

I hope this has been useful to a few of you out there.

The only time using 10 sensetivety would be better is in a match of SnD on a small map like firing range, if you rushed non-stop OR when trying to be a 1337 quickscoper.

No, no and NO.
A lower sensitivy doesn't mean more accuracy, it wasn't put in the game that way.

'ALWAYS' check where your team mates are, if you see some of them dissapearing from mini map, you just got an easy kill.
For even more killfeeds go to the opposite side of the map to your team mates.
If your team mates start to respawn in front of you, turn back or do a quick short cut through middle of the map to suprise respawning enemies. They WONT respawn in front of you, there is always an obstruction between your sight line eg wall, building, so have your eyes open when your team mates are everywhere on the mini map, experience will tell you where are they (after few prestiges you learn spawn points basing on your respawns) Always remember what you do and which way you go to capture a flag/HQ or plant a bomb. Think like your enemy and be faster/smarter.

I play COD since COD 4 (the best one in my opinion) with a team. Recently we have scooped 3rd place in biggest european championships 6vs6 domination, snd and ctf modes. From my experience and other pro players, 8-10 sensivity is the best. Most people play on 10. Some of them have to switch back to 8 after gap in playing. I dont.
It takes two weeks to get used to drop shot and 10 sens. Experiencing for many years we find 10 the best as it saves life in SnD when you play agains better players with high reflex on their hands. You have to use what you are ABLE to use to beat them, so sensivity to 10 and sleigh of a hand is a must have in tournaments. Also in my opinion UMP was the only gun that could be compared to assault rifles so we decided not to have stopping power on classed with UMP. Oh well, off topic a lot like. Thanks.

Theres alot of things in here that I and many other gamers would say you should NOT do, do not always have the Strela as a secondary, have ONE class with a Strela, alot of the time I find I have to switch weapon otherwise I end up getting killed and doing this has saved me many times.
Turning sensitivity up is a NO, unless you are using a sniper and will need to be quicker than your opponent because your quickscoping. Many Pro gamers play on 3 sensitivity, reason? Accuracy of course.
Why glitch? You can end up getting a small ban and you can ruin the game for yourself, play the game how it should be played.

Improve your guide. There are many things in here that the average gamer SHOUDLN'T do.

I still think its about what you prefer. I use sensitivity 5, and if I tried to go back I couldnt deal with feeling like I am moving on Quick Sand. I think I am fairly accurate enough with that sensitivity. There are other factors that play a part and not just sensitivity. If I am in close with a player with lower sensitivity, I can 180 around him and hip fire kill him. If I had low sensitivity I couldnt do that turn quick enough. So I personally prefer higher. Not 10 or crazy high.

I also think its funny you keep saying ask the MLG guys or the "pros" as if their opinion is the gospel. Besides the fact that they may use a lower sensitivity because they are comfortable with it. And I'm sure pride alone would prevent them from saying they wouldnt be as accurate on a higher sensitivity.

I use 5 often aswell. Sometimes lower or higher depending on my gamestyle. Never lower than 3 or higher than 7.

The reason I told this guy to ask mlg pros was because he thougt using a lower wouldnt help even a tiny bit and he just couldnt seem to understand.

Also if you are in a situation when a enemy is behind you, you should not be able to kill him unless your playing against crap players. And ill tell you what having a precise aim will save your life more often than 180 turning on someone.

Well, infact I'm far from an average player. I can't be bothered to argue with you anymore. It wasn't put in the game like that, so thats not the way it works.
