Josh Olin, or as some of you know him as JD_2020 from Twitter, has been defending the set price they've been putting on the Call of Duty: Black Ops map packs, while players think they're paying so much, for so little added content.

"It's a little of getting used to it, but I think people see there's a lot of value in the map pack," said Olin. "All four of our MP maps are brand new from the ground up- they're not rehashes from single player, they're not old maps that people have seen before - they're brand new maps."

And then he commented on the gameplay of the new map packs, having ziplines, auto turrets, destructible bridges. While zombies gets new maps, having new weapons, traps, & zombies.

Obviously most players were anticipating the Call of Duty: Black Ops, as it was & still is on the top selling charts for XBox Live, selling a mere 1.4 million copies in just 24 hours of release.

So what do you think? Is the DLC carrying it's weight?[/color]

So the ziplines aren't something you use often? Or just something you don't use at all due to it being so damn stupid?

I mean that is what they are mainly advertising in the map pack videos, I don't find the stuff like that that great, I use the zipline every now and then because nobody expects anyone to use it because it's so damn dumb.

Can you shoot off of it? I'd guess not since it's a zipline, but hey, you never know.

(I don't play Black Ops anymore, if you're wondering).

No, you can't. It's just one of those flashy things they put in the maps, like the opening doors on radiation, the rocket on launch, the airplane flying over kowloon, the bridges on discovery, It's completely pointless shit.

Yeah, it's just a waste of time & space...

If you're going to add something into the game, make it worth it, like swords or something (sarcasm).

But seriously, a zipline? Destructible bridges, maybe, if their whole team is on it, but ziplines are just a form of transportation.

The thing is, even though the Map Pack may not be as great as people have expected, the majority of the Call of Duty players will buy it nonetheless. Even at this price, A LOT of people buy it, so this is somewhat reasonable to the general Call of Duty fanbase due to the extremely high amount of buyers.

The 2nd MW2 map pack especially was better than this first Black Ops map pack.

yea sure. 15 bucks for 3 maps. 2 mw1 maps ( should be free) and no special ops. nah meng . the 2nd mw2 was NOT better than black ops, only carnival was worth any money

1. Discovery shootable bridges are effing stupid because you can jump over them. And not much people use them either.

2. Berlin Wall: Stupid again, as it's basically like Rundown from MW2 with the same amount of rooms to camp in, only that you can't run in the red zone (the water in Rundown).

3. Ziplines are cool, except that nearly every time you go on one, a camper shoots you.

Basically, limit the camping spots and the maps would be much better. And that those 'special gameplay additions' aren't really special but rather quite useless.

Ya I think the Map Packs should be at least 5-10 dollars at most.
