Is the "game" mode intended for sport's games or video games? Just curious although either way it would use enhanced refresh

heres how to configure from components to HDMI:
hold the power button til you hear two beeps then goto your LCD and it should say HDMI output detected or something, and then it should be all good.
using hdmi without setting that your graphics are going to be shitty

so w/ hdmi connected, hold power button on ps3 until i hear two beeps and then my tv will say output detected?

not sure, but on the ps3 it should say, change to HDMI yes/no then press yes it give you 30 secs to choose, so choose fast. Then after that it should give you choices just go on with the steps, what ever you desire. And im not sure about the lag, but hopefully it works :fa:

i have an lg 47" led tv and i had the same issue! make sure you turn your console off and attach the hdmi cable to your ps3 and your tv... press and hold the power button until you hear a second beep.
the ps3 will boot up and say a hdmi device has been detected do you use etc.. select yes.. the screen will go black for a second and then it will adjust to the ps3 for the best possible output for your tv... accept the settings by selecting yes.

Then go into your tv menu using the lg remote, then into picture/display and change the picture type to game... if you cannot do that then it is not essential as it only adjusts colour, contrast and brightness...

Now the motion___ thing you are talking about is motionflow which is basically new frames inserted between standard frames to create smoother images. i would suggest that you put this setting to its highest to avoid lag as motionflow is used mainly when watching fast action packed films or playing games to keep the picture as smooth as possible.

i have trumotion built into my lg led tv and it just makes everything so much better.... trust me..

hope this shed some light on your problem Dancing
