when I try to download it, it says "this item isn't available in your current location" ?!
My Gamertag is US and I add 1600 MP on it with US MP Card
My Game "Black Ops" is NTSC
The DLC is [EN] and it is on the Black Ops store, so it must to be for my game region.
So what is the problem ? that mean I lost my MP on that account ?

My friend had this same problem with his xbox on the first map pack as well as the new one.
We live in Spain. His game is a UK version with his UK account. He had to buy a UK VPN to bypass the problem.
Thankfully this problem didn't occur when I bought the maps for my PS3.

He spent a hell of a lot of time trying to fix this problem. So far, this is the only way he has found to bypass it.
I really can't think why M$ would want to region control DLC?

Nope no free points for signing up. I dont belive you get a free month of XBL either.
I had no issue downloading it. Then agian I purchased the maps from Gamestop and then got the code emailed to me by that power up rewards thing.

I've been told a few times you get the 1st month free for XBL. I hope that's true.

Don't worry, I meant free Microsoft points, but you don't get them free anyway when you sign up. Same with the map packs.

I haven't even got my Xbox yet :lol:

I got a new xbox for christmas.It seems they removed the free month.
