So we remember the no recoil and clan tag modifications via hex editing on MW2. We remember that if we mod the GPAD0_MP on MW2, we could have no recoil and a unbound clan tag.

I went to work on Black Ops about this. While doing this, I found out that:

Black Ops servers automatically dynamically encrypt a file for download, GRAD0_MP, and save it to your game save. It writes all the mp data then dynamically encrypt, and each time you log back online, it downloads a new file.

So say if you log online and you check your GPAD0_MP, and its like this

And that stores your current clan tag + stats.

Next time you go online it'll be

But when decrypted, it stores your sensitivity (which can be modded for no recoil) and it stores your current clan tag.

If you decrypt the file, good luck. When you log back on its just gonna get overwritten.

With this information posted, no recoil + unbound clan tag is impossible through hex editing the GPAD0_MP.

Your video shows you attempting to decrypt one of the files with some program you made. You also talked about how the server writes stuff to the file etc... how can you be sure if you haven't looked at a decrypted version of the file?

The program that I made in the video was to show that it decrypt things. I was testing to see if it would decrypt that, it couldn't.

How can I look at a decrypted version of the file if no one has done it yet? I apologize for asking if ur a idiot. I just dislike people trying to tell me things when they have no knowledge on it or haven't done it yet.

The server writes encrypted stuff to the file, then when you log on Black Ops MP each time, you download that new file. Now that could be wrong but from my tests I have done, I am correct.

Also, I love how every time you post, you got your fans automatically clicking "like" or "thanks". Your like a puppet master.

woa easy boy your not talking to a noob, no need to flame someone who is completely smarter then you at hacking.

You clearly stated your reversed it.... You must login or register to view this content.

Not trying to be a smart ass or anything but, when you reverse something thats encrypted you decrypt it....

I did reverse it. TheUnkn0wn isn't completely smarter than me at hacking. Sure, he has CoD knowledge, but it isn't hard. You just gotta take time to learn. Stop dick riding him.

Nik, EDITED OUT SO NOOBS WON'T HACK BLACK OPS :p ::whistle:

Good on you for trying but this post is pretty pointless, all youve done is explained to the masses how you went down a dead end road.

I know what I'm talking about because I have looked into it. The files are the exact same as the files for Xbox and are encrypted in the same way. Because the saves are also protected by the SONY game save Encryption and Checksum (You cant even change the name of the save in the PARAM.SFO because of the checksum) so you cant do anything with them.

Nik, I could too if I had a PS3 that is below 3.15 and use infectus 2 mod chip. Modding the EBOOT.BIN sounds fun, right TheUnkn0wn?

If you have then what is the algorithm used... oh, you don't know or "I'm not going to tell you." they are normally the excuses I get lol

The fact you refer to it as hacking shows you lack intelligence. Its called reverse engineering, the word hack/hacker is used in completely the wrong context these days you find a glitch in a game and your called a "hacker". I also don't portray myself as a hacker either. I think its wrong.

I also hate it when I tell people they are wrong and they go off crying about it. I only say what I say to let you know your doing it wrong. When I learn things on my own nobody ever tells me if I'm doing it wrong I have to figure that out myself, you should be glad you get feedback off people who know what they are doing. I know its just a game but games contain some of the most advanced technology in computer science that can be used to help people (e.g: Graphics engines from games are used to create simulations to see how things would react in the realworld) and create solutions (like the processing power of graphics cards can be used to solve equations to help create a cures Folding@Home) and I'm just someone who likes to learn how it all works because thats the thing I find interesting and I like the engine Call of Duty has because its so simple and flexible and that's why its the best selling game in the world, I don't do it to boast about "HEY LOOK WHAT I CAN DO! LETS ALL ABUSE THIS" hence why you don't see me release anything. The whole reason I come on this forum is to find someone else like me who shares the same interest. Unfortunately I seem to be the only one.
