So we remember the no recoil and clan tag modifications via hex editing on MW2. We remember that if we mod the GPAD0_MP on MW2, we could have no recoil and a unbound clan tag.
I went to work on Black Ops about this. While doing this, I found out that:
Black Ops servers automatically dynamically encrypt a file for download, GRAD0_MP, and save it to your game save. It writes all the mp data then dynamically encrypt, and each time you log back online, it downloads a new file.
So say if you log online and you check your GPAD0_MP, and its like this

But when decrypted, it stores your sensitivity (which can be modded for no recoil) and it stores your current clan tag.
If you decrypt the file, good luck. When you log back on its just gonna get overwritten.
With this information posted, no recoil + unbound clan tag is impossible through hex editing the GPAD0_MP.

I'm not some noob that dick rides TheUnkn0wn because he is internet famous. Sure, the guy is cool. I'll be cool too when I get my new PS3, if you know what I mean. I hope you guys don't think I intentionally tried to flame Unkn0wn. There is only a few people on this site who is actually legit.

I think its possible to bypass this encryption somehow. My guess is that when you go on "Multiplayer" a screen pops up saying "Downloading Game Data". My guess is that this "Downloading Game Data" is what changes the file every time. Also today I found out that if you are NOT logged into the PSN you will not get the "Downloading Game Data" screen pop up. So while your offline you can go to "Lan Party" and "Create Match". What I did not bother to check is to Log-In while your in "Lan Party > Create Match", afterwards if you do not get the "Downloading Game Data" maybe you can join your friends session and successfully bypass "Downloading Game Data".
This is my theory. Of course I can be wrong.

getting a second ps3 and data transferring doesnt make you cool (hence the 12 year olds that hosted derank lobbies on CoD) nor does it make you a hacker. really, editing a patch is just text editing
. and yeah we all know you tried to flame him. being an ass to a respected community member really looks nice dont it?... rhetorical of course.

Who said anything about data transferring? This proves you know nothing and patch editing isn't hacking. I don't give a **** who he is or you are. I talked respectfully to him but I won't do to you. SONY's GAMESAVE encryption is easy to hack specially when a JB Ps3 Loads the Gamesave, Now why dont we bother hacking BO?,
cuzz they banned us, now its just as easy to get unbanned, But no one really takes the time to try it.. why? because the Game sucks real bad and becuse MW3 and Battle Field 3 are comeing up,
So forget about BO game failed in every way but the zombies
