So, if you have been temporarily banned from black ops for boosting you will also receive a permanent ban from using the split-screen function - making boosting harder for you. Follow this super easy TUT and bypass the ban to carry on boosting, or just to use split-screen online.

TUT:

1 - Go to split-screen or LAN
2 - Connect 2nd controller
3 - Join a friend's party
4 - Ta-Da! now you can use split-screen again!

Edit: If for whatever reason, you lose the 2nd controller from your party, you need re-do all these steps. This doesn't permanently un-ban your 2nd controller.

If u are 2nd controller banned like soldier said, u can only bypass the ban by going to a splitscreen or lan party lobby, and adding ur 2nd controller there, and then join ur friends lobby.. If u try to add ur 2nd controller in a player match lobby, private match lobby, or combat training lobby, then u will get kicked and a message will pop up saying " u have been banned from using this feature".. I use the 2nd controller ban bypass everyday to boost, so no it is not patched, it is still working!!

K I did this but when the game starts it kicks me and then wont let me join a lobby. Keeps say lobby closed the I cant join anyone's party after That. I have to restart the ps3 to be able to join someone party.
