You do know that allocated memory is always decrypted at runtime. Therefore the console runs decrypted files because nothing can run encrypted files (Obviously)
But really. I look at these new threads and chuckle. I mean come one, someone has to know what the hell I'm talking about on here. People should use the PS3 more and not depend on cracking RSA.

The following 2 users say thank you to Rath for this useful post:

this may sound kinda nooby but if you think about it, it doesnt. no one has decrypted ps2 game saves because they are encrypted and its the same with the ps3 but with the ps2 we used "action replays" which mods the codes when they are running and decrypted IN the ps2. Why dont we do something like that. we wont be able to use a home brew until we get more cfw (not for a while) but use a disc, i dont see why something like this wouldent work. Is a plausible idea?

Well even if there was another CFW release you wouldn't be able to mod Black Ops same with another jailbreak, when your using the FTP and browsing the DevHdd0 those files are all compressed and encrypted(Black Ops FFs etc). Lets just say that if you can dump your allocated memory (You should know where this is at) during runtime you will get a dump of decompressed and decrypted game files. All you would have to do is modify them and write them back to your allocated memory when the game allocates it. There's speculation that this doesn't work after 3.14 etc, but my friend said it worked for him on 3.50, so I'm sure this can work on 3.66. Haven't tried on 3.6x yet. But I might.

By the way, I wasn't even mentioning anything similar to an "Action Replay". This method that only about 4-5 people use is by far 100x greater then a jailbreak etc. I'm sure there are people on this site who know about this method, or have the prerequisites for this exploit.
