If you consider it a micro controller then yeah I guess. Its basically a hardware mod... I'm sure people can make their own, but compiling code for it to carry out certain functions would just be a big pain in the ass. But it can be done. Unless you bought one that's been out on the market for a good while Cool Man (aka Tustin)

i can tell you right now there are 78 encrypted blocks in the lastest patch_mp. as far as injecting the memory, i dont have the equiptment to do so. but ill continue to try and get it decrypted.

xbox patch_mp contains 83 blocks, the encryption method seems to be the same as ps3, maybe a diffent key is being used not sure. i have 3 full days to mess with it, hopefully i can come up with something

The following 2 users say thank you to BuC-ShoTz for this useful post:

Anyone ask you about your education level? Gpad files are encrypted, plus you can't mod them like a fast file.

Hey yea you could defiantly Write over the Alcocated memory region that the patch has been decrypted to. The only problem that would stand in the way is finding the Addresses to write to and we know it possible because it has been done in PSID patch we could easily write and app up that could inject/ overwrite this region and i say that we work on this, and any body who is interested joins #BOpsMod over at EFNET.org so we can work on this

I always thought that black ops files used RSA which would imply a asymmetric encryption is used for the damn failed game I havent learned shit about ECC but i can take the time to learn.

PS someone correct me if im wrong but i do believe this game is using asymmetric encryptions
