The game only exists because they coded and created it, glitches are simply errors in coding, loop holes to sections of code that are not meant to be run etc.
For example; Ammo glitch: this can easily be fixed by adding a simple function or error handler that ensures that when a player goes into last stand no ammo script is run apart from the degradation of his/her current ammo supply.
As for the lag switch glitches... it is very simple to stop a player from getting anywhere they are not supposed to be. A function that tracks the player’s position on the map would stop this, by mapping out the playable map coordinates they could create a simple statement which states if player’s coordinates do not match playable coordinates then kill player.
So in conclusion... saying any glitch cannot be stopped is just idiotic as the glitches only exist because of errors in coding, silly mistakes and overlooked aspects/conditions.
P.S. It is not "what they cannot patch", it is "that they are unable to patch" or "that they cannot patch".
