Drop-shotting is when you see an enemy who starts to shoot at you and you lie down whilst shooting making it harder for them to hit you.

What is Snaking?
Snaking has the same implication but it is done differently, you lie down and move forward fast, making it hard for your enemy to hit you.

How to drop-shot and how to snake
First off you are going to want to change your button layout to tactical (this means that to crouch you press R3 and to knife you press O).
Then create a class with a SMG, you can use ANY weapon (this is just faster moving and faster firing) with STEADY AIM ATTACHED. Steady aim means that when you fire without zooming in the bullets are more central and don't fire all over the place.
Join a game and just run straight into the action, when you see an enemy hold down R3 and R1 at the same time. You will need to keep trying this but it gets easier and works sik once you can do it right. EXAMPLE

Snaking is just the same thing but you liedown and move, this confuses your enemy, it frightened the shit out of me the first time someone did it to me. TUTORIAL

How to 'counter' drop-shotting
The thing you will need to remember is that once on the ground you have a limited range on what you can look at so if someone does drop-shot try and jump around them whilst shooting.

To be honest, Drop shotting on mw2, is less common. Since, the amount of damage it takes to kill someone, is less than previous call of duty games. By the time, that you lay down, if you are versing a decent player, you will be dead. It may save your life sometimes, but not all the time, since it is difficult to shoot while laying down and aiming. You could pray and spray. lol. Also, Try to edit your snake crawl post, going forward, is neat and all, but going sideways, is more tactical. While going forward, your options are limited.. Going sideways, will give you more cover, as there will be surrounding objects, that you can hide behind. Snake crawling, is not meant for shooting and moving, as it was on cod5. You could sustain a lot more damage, than you can on mw2.

You can't snake in Modern Warfare 2. That video is absolutely nothing like snaking was in W@W, and is pretty much useless. The dropshotting tutorial should help some people out though
