Drop-shotting is when you see an enemy who starts to shoot at you and you lie down whilst shooting making it harder for them to hit you.
What is Snaking?
Snaking has the same implication but it is done differently, you lie down and move forward fast, making it hard for your enemy to hit you.
How to drop-shot and how to snake
First off you are going to want to change your button layout to tactical (this means that to crouch you press R3 and to knife you press O).
Then create a class with a SMG, you can use ANY weapon (this is just faster moving and faster firing) with STEADY AIM ATTACHED. Steady aim means that when you fire without zooming in the bullets are more central and don't fire all over the place.
Join a game and just run straight into the action, when you see an enemy hold down R3 and R1 at the same time. You will need to keep trying this but it gets easier and works sik once you can do it right. EXAMPLE

How to 'counter' drop-shotting
The thing you will need to remember is that once on the ground you have a limited range on what you can look at so if someone does drop-shot try and jump around them whilst shooting.

Thanks! this really helped me. I didnt even know there was that tactical setting. Ive gotten really good at dropshotting now

Awww man FusionZ I am a dropshotter =(. And a damn good one too. Oh yeah dude, I'm getting MW2 again. I'm going to try and get 10 hours with Friiz to get my headshots and stuff back. I don't remember what I have. I need like 14,000 more vbux. What's the easiest way to get some?
Back on topic: When I was playing Modern Warfare 2, snaking was nearly impossible. In world at war it was different because it involved you mainly strafing to the side. But in Modern Warfare 2 I still can't quite get it down. Dropshotting really only works on scrubs-mid level players and thats only because high level players(yeah right....) like camping and keeping their distance.
