What are you talking about? You don't realize how lethal the bullet is, do you? A person can be torn in HALF through the torso with the .50 cal

No, they cannot. The bullet is very wide, but not wide enough to rip somebody in half, you can't even take arms off with it unless it was from a Browning Machine Gun. The bullet would do enough damage to leave a limb hanging from its tendons, but there is no way in hell it would tear somebody in half. You're missing the big picture, there's no way they would give noobs a gun that would rip somebody's arm off at level 3. It's called, umm, what's the word, oh yes, BALANCING!!!

How much harder is a sniper to use on a game like CoD than an assault rifle(namely the SCAR)? It's very unbalanced this way. They need to be one-shot-kills.

1: I assumed by being torn in half he meant completely dismembered, that's usually what torn in half means, not almost torn in half.
2: I meant that they wouldn't let level 3's get a one hit kill with every shot from the Barrett. That's a potential 30 killstreak at level 3, without using the secondary gun, trading weapons, or resupplying

You will not survive a Barrett .50 calibre rifle round going in you at any point unless it hits you in the foot/arm/leg/hand but it WILL permanently disable that limb 95% of the time.
It should be a one hit kill on the torso, head or shoulders but if it hits a limb it should PERMANENTLY damage you, you shouldn't heal from it.
