(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, i bought a dazzle, and learned a way to hook it up using my hd av cables, but it looks like crap so, i want a HD cap card so i can still play. What is the best card for the money that i can use and still play using my HDMI cable

Codec comes with it I believe when you install the HD-PVR drivers. Also the idea is that you render it out in Vegas for good quality, if you don't do that and/or you convert it before rendering, the quality will end up like a Dazzle.
If you're put off by the rendering because you can't afford Vegas, it's as simple as a trial and keygen Winky Winky

I already have vegas, but I play on an SD TV so currently it would not be worth the buy.

In that case no it wouldn't, however it would help to have one before you get an HDTV. You can still record in SD through component and it's much more reliable than a Dazzle or any other alternative.

most likely either your settings, running other programs while recording, using the damn preview while recording, low amount of RAM.

Its most likely one of those.

1. I implore you to go for anything that's not a Dazzle or an ezCap, half the time they don't even work mate.

2. What's a TRX? :p

1. Ive seen plenty of good things with dazzles, for now I will use one.

2. Its basically a rope, a VERY expensive rope.

The Hauppauge HD Pvr, Connects via component cables. Not HDMI.
The Black Magic Intensity Pro, Connects via HDMI. And the Black Magic is cheaper. So if your computer can handle it get it for sure.
