Post: Best/Cheapest Capture Card?

i wanna spend around £60, i know my recordings wont be in HD but i can live with that

i have windows 7 aswell, have no idea if that means anything but im guessing it does since its quite recent

can someone givee me some info/links to everything i need for a good quality capture card??

after reading about it i cant play it on my tv which obviously i dont want lol, i wanna play on my tv

im getting the easycap and then rendering it cos the quality is fine, its my first capture card...after making videos & depending on the amount of people who like it ill get the aver media or a better one

I say look for an xbox s-video cable so you can get rid of your xb0x cable you have now. Here's a list of what you should look for:

1. 3 male to 2 female splitters, preferably the ones that are gold plated.
2. Composite to composite cable that's the Red, white, yellow on both ends.
3. S-video cable for xbox (check gamestop) or ebay.

and thats it. That is all you need. You can get rid of your xbox rca cable if you get an S-video cable. You will not need it.

cheers mate youve been helpful a lot lol, last question though do i need to install a software for it (CD) because my laptop doesnt have a cd drive, will i be able to download the software on the internet?

No problem. When you get the easycap and you unbox it, it will have a CD for the drivers and the ULEAD studio to record. You can download the drivers for the easycap online since you have windows 7, so the drivers I believe will be a little different. As for the ulead Im pretty sure that you can get that at their site and download the same version. After all, you got the product key written on the back of the CD case.
