Climbing up the ladder
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The FragFx controller is great in my opinion. I was a PC gamer and do to money problems, I had to sell it. I bought a PS3 the first week of February along with Modern Warfare 2. I was trying and trying to get used to the analog sticks but couldn't seem to get the hang of them. So I bought the Splitfish FragFx controller.

It did take a couple hours to get used to and figure out the sensitivity settings. After I got used to it, I was doing almost as good as I was on PC. The aiming is a little different, but it was a lot easier. I average a 3 KDR with it.

So if you are thinking about getting one, here is what I think.

You should get the controller if you were/are a PC gamer.
Install the new firmware on the controller, it makes it 10X better.

You should not get the controller if you just want to try it out. If you are already used to the analog sticks and have never used a mouse I would suggest not getting it.

PC gamers it will be different then a mouse that you were used to. Because it does have a different sensitivity.

If you have it I suggest you install the new firmware and put MW2 sensitivity on 10 and the controller sensitivity on 3-4.

You can also change the button layout, which I did; to make drop shots a lot easier.

Also if you listen to most people that try it and say it sucks most of the time they install new firmware and give it a change and are already used to the analog sticks.

Also if you dont like it you can just return it.

If this has interested you or helped you make a decision or just clear up some information please rep+

I used to play Counter Strike a lot on PC and LOVED the mouse and keyboard. There's not much of a comparison to the PS3 and XBOX controllers, mouse and keyboard wins hands down when it comes to precision. I stopped playing counter strike and got COD4 for my PS3 and took me a while to get used to the controller, it felt kinda alien. But I got used to it and now if I was to try the Splitfish FragFx controller I'd have to learn all over again cause I haven't played PC games in over 2 years. So I'll stick to my analog sticks.

the only problem i have with it.. is that the mouse isn't as accurate a i would like.. it seems to skip on you.. it's not a fluid motion like the ones for PC..

I had the same problem til I upgraded the firmware. But it still does skip if you have the controller setting above 4. So I keep mine between 3-4. I used to play on 3500 DPI in MW2 for PC. It still isnt as accurate as a mouse but for me its way more accurate than the analog sticks.

Although I prefer to snipe with the regular PS3 controller, its a bit easier to follow the enemy while they are running. But when I pull out my secondary I suck. I have problem hitting them while they are moving with an assault or SMG. I seem to hit them but then when they are running i cant keep my sights following them I either move it to much or too little.

I've heard Fragnstein is a competitor to the fragfx, I would try both out before making a decision.
