(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The FragFx controller is great in my opinion. I was a PC gamer and do to money problems, I had to sell it. I bought a PS3 the first week of February along with Modern Warfare 2. I was trying and trying to get used to the analog sticks but couldn't seem to get the hang of them. So I bought the Splitfish FragFx controller.

It did take a couple hours to get used to and figure out the sensitivity settings. After I got used to it, I was doing almost as good as I was on PC. The aiming is a little different, but it was a lot easier. I average a 3 KDR with it.

So if you are thinking about getting one, here is what I think.

You should get the controller if you were/are a PC gamer.
Install the new firmware on the controller, it makes it 10X better.

You should not get the controller if you just want to try it out. If you are already used to the analog sticks and have never used a mouse I would suggest not getting it.

PC gamers it will be different then a mouse that you were used to. Because it does have a different sensitivity.

If you have it I suggest you install the new firmware and put MW2 sensitivity on 10 and the controller sensitivity on 3-4.

You can also change the button layout, which I did; to make drop shots a lot easier.

Also if you listen to most people that try it and say it sucks most of the time they install new firmware and give it a change and are already used to the analog sticks.

Also if you dont like it you can just return it.

If this has interested you or helped you make a decision or just clear up some information please rep+

Although I prefer to snipe with the regular PS3 controller, its a bit easier to follow the enemy while they are running. But when I pull out my secondary I suck. I have problem hitting them while they are moving with an assault or SMG. I seem to hit them but then when they are running i cant keep my sights following them I either move it to much or too little.

how did you update the firmware.. also i heard there are 2 models of the FragFX.. if so.. i think i have the first one.. also do you think it makes a difference if you use it on a different mouse pad?

if only there was a way to get use a PC Mouse and KeyBoard.. Smile that would be awesome.. Smile

Go to their website and click on downloads and on page 3 or 4 is the download. For the FragFx v2 and FragFx SE. It doesnt really matter which one because they are both the same Firmware/Tweak Upgrade. Then install it and plug your controller in to your pc then click check firmware version or something like that then click upgrade it will take around 30 seconds. It will say upgrade complete or successful when done. Also in that program you can change the button layout. A reason I wanted to sell my pc and not other stuff is because I was tired of all the wall hacks and aimbots on PC. I do wish that you were able to use the keyboard mouse set up. Only if you were able to install some kinda soft ware or firmware on the PS3 to read the keyboard and mouse as a PC would. HA

I wanna try that out. But I would have to pay 90 for that then buy a keyboard(cheap one) and a mouse which will be 60-90 So its a bit much for me.

I recently found out that there is a thing called XIM, which stands for Xbox Input Machine. It works for PS3 also, from what I read it works better on PS3. You can buy them or build it yourself. It alows you to use a mouse and keyboard on your PS3. People have said that it is 100 times better than the XFPS and alot better than the FragFx. Everyone says it is exactly like playing a FPS game on the PC. I will be building mine as soon as I get the stuff.
