For Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 players there will be a new patch that patches various things. They go onto say that they will be patching:

- The glitches on the new DLC stimulus package.
- Fire rate of the Intervention.
- 10th prestige hack (PS3 users only)
- ability to lock game sessions so your friends can't join your session. Thanks to xJerry-

They say they got this information from Infinty Ward's own FourZeroTwo. I am just telling you what the magazine said so if I'm wrong don't hate me it's what they said and I am trying to warn you to get the things they are patching done in case this is real.

Yes they can. They fixed the 3 gun/4 perk hack by making it not stick. They may do that with your rank somehow. They could even just make it so you can't upload data to splitscreen anymore.

Possibly but they can't take off the upload feature to split screen because it is part of the game even if you have internet or not.
