Post: How do you measure a good player?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I took my friends list and went to the score leaderboard.
I divided our scores by the hours played and got our score per hour average.
It raised a lot of questions about K/D ratio, win/lose, and score.
It seemed as good a method as any, if score is the result of good playing?

If you play with randoms you have to win the game on your own almost every time. It's crazy! I had the most flag captures in a game just now, and my team still got beat by 50 points. All they had to do was sit there and watch a flag or two! How hard can it be to stare at a flag and wait for the kills to come to you?

This. You really have to play with someone to get a feel of how good they are. It also depends on their style of play. In my opinion, a rusher and sniper with a 1.9 k/d is MUCH better than a major camper with a 2.5 k/d.

It all really depends on your definition of what being a good player actually means. Your definition could be someone who sits in a corner and gets a ridiculously high k/d ratio. It could also be someone who plays only for the objective, has an extremely high score, but has a k/d of .75.

My definition of a good player is someone who maintains a decent k/d, plays for the objectives somewhat, and most importantly: Has Fun

I agree with you on that. My k/d at this moment is 1.15 but I always run and gun straight to the fight and I love playing HQ and objective games which yes I die alot but I have so much fun doing it and the ones who care so much about their k/d are the ones always bitching about crying about how other people play and kill them. I put it this way when I do play "camper" game my k/d is always 3 or more cuz it doesn't much skill to camp around and wait for people. TRUTH Smile^

They should create an objective game mode that erases any kills you have gotten in the game if you stay in a 15 yards radius for more than 15 seconds, unless you are within 15 yards of the objective

One of my friends is legit 10th Prestige level 70, 14 days play time, fall camo on AK-47, Barrett, Intervention, MP5K and Mini-Uzi

Didn't boost headshots on AK or Intervention

His KDR is about 4.00. However, I would NOT say he is an excellent player, not that he's not good, but he uses the following: UMP, ACR, Scar-H, Grenade Launcher, Heartbeat Sensor and Commando constantly

He doesn't camp at all, and I'm yet to see a game where he got more kills than deaths, he usually (In HQ) gets about 80 kills

Point is, skill isn't measured in level or Prestige. It's measured with: The classes you use, weapons, attachments, perks, equipment, killstreaks you use, tactics you use, whether or not you nuke boost, challenges completed, etc.

Have some rep for being as unlucky as I am.

i reckon it depends on kills, killstreak, reactions when being shot, tactices...etc

If I'm playing domination I want someone who is going to run there bollocks off going for flags and being a general pain in the arse to the other team. It's all about how good they are at working as a team and winning the game. High stats do nothing but give people a big head.

I agree with this 100%!!! Well said!!! The same goes for games with other objectives!
