Post: Realistic guide owning.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok first of id just like to say, in allot of guides, they tell you to do this and do that, i must say, every single game plays out differently, you have to react to every situation differently, also if you stick to the same tactics people learn from them pretty quick.

The honest truth to owning is as followed.

1) A really good aim, you need this, im not talking about aiming directly at people, im talking about speed. you see someone, its crucial you aim head/torso ASAP, with a high powered low recoil weapon with decent enough. the best weapon with a balance firepower, low recoil and ammo i have found to be assaults. extended mags is always a crucial. my personal favourite is ACR extended, i also recomend SCAR-H and the M16 is very powerful too.

2) Directional sense, This is also very crucial, you need to have your sound up and learn how to tell which sounds mean what, and what direction there coming from.. Example:

A noob hears a noise 'Ppphssssssssss' thinks nothing off it.

A decent play hears the same noise, instantly knows its a care package being called in, and sprints directly to it (with caution), this usually gets me a free kill also a free care package if its decent.

if its a killstreak that generally only good for one kill, like predators (lets be honest rarely get doubles) or if you love preds go for it, but remember the package will show up on the map, and lure people like wasps to coke, i shit you not, its rather a laugh seeing someone run up, look behind them, crouch and start to steal the package. another free kill.

remember people learn quick, so just get a few lure kills then pick up the package and be on your way.

3) Tactics, when i refer to tactics, im talking about spawn points, being cautious around known danger zones, heres some examples.

your playing SnD, the bomb has been planted, your approaching the bomb site, just remember that every time you RUN, you have less time you stop running and aim your weapon at people, now there most likely camping also so they have even bigger advantage. im not saying walk, just run when you know your relatively safe.

Another tactic, the Edges.. oh yes always stick to Edges there amazing. just think, if you could use half a screen to be more alert on other things, i mean you dont need the wall on your screen, so look inwards, you can cover more ground with the screen and therefore see more enemies.

just remember if theres alot of noobtubers in the game try to swop to the class with that anti noobtube thing i dont use it much not sure what its called, blast mask or something.

This is the tip section, i will check for tips posted in the thread and add them if there decent.

::Place a C4 right where your going to plant a bomb, hide somewhere, and listen out for the defuse sound, then detonate (Double tap Square)

::Claymores are most affective on the left side of doors, also place them at a 45 degree angle, not too close, but not to far away.

::Frags are not weak, pay off more than semtexs if timed correctly, most off the time totally unavoidable due to lack of frags used in game.

::The highest sensitivity really is not the best, my honest truth is that sens 7 is perfect, I have been shot from behind and its high enough to turn 180 degrees in time, also can give extreme precision that 10 or 9 just cant match.

::Riot shield with commando, have a pistol with tactical knife, when you approach an enemy, try to get them to follow you round a corner, or if your quick enough to do straight up, press triangle, and knife them, its really quick to pull out pistol, catches loads of people out. fun on SnD too Smile

ok thats all for now, be update tips section constantly with what ever anyone has to say!!

REP+ if this helped you loads, dont rep if dident help you much, theres no point in that. negative rep if this sucked for you lol. (hope not)

Dont comment if you know everything in this thread.

The only suggestion I have is to make it neater. Use colors, and different font sizes.

good guide for new players.

a few things i disagree with:
1. You do not need extended mags on any rifle, the only 1 that really benefits is the SCAR. Its much more beneficial to use a useful attachment like the silencer, heartbeat sensor etc. In your 1st post you said its crucial to have a good fast aim, well if you have one then extended mags is useless to you.
I have had several multi kills (4 kills in quick succession) with an ACR without stopping power with a normal clip, most people use stopping power anyway so extended mags is a real waste.

2. Frags are terribly bad, i cannot count how many times a frag has been thrown into a room i'm in and i survive, despite it being less than a metre away.
Semtex's have a larger radius and if you stick them near an enemy they cannot escape in time.
I'd say judging by the ratio of semtex users to frag users, that most people agree with me.

3. The edges of the map thing, Everyone knows that camping in a building with claymores is the best way to own, they either do it themselves or they've died so many times from a camper.
Flanking is a good tactic but in this game all you need to do is claymore up a building and sit behind cover until you get 5 kills, then 7, then 11 = game over.

before the wave of endless anti-campers arrive try this: go in the building on skidrow which is where A is in domination, claymore the building up with a friend and 1 person watch the window, the other watch the tunnel its the easiest nuke you'll ever get, a chopper gunner is childs play from that building, its so easy.
You have a clear view of all the surrounding area, no one can get close without you seeing them, and your out of nade range.

the reason camping is the overall best strategy is because people are stupid and mentally retarded, they constantly go for revenge kills which guarantees you a constant supply of kills as you kill them over and over again.

First of all camping is for noobs, i personaly run about in FFA's knowing that my experience in handling confrontations combined with accurate aiming 9 times out of 10 gets me a kill, without being shot much, thats what this guide is aimed at people who are looking for a new way of playing the game, instead of sitting down with claymores.

Also extended mags are very useful if your know what your doing, first of all none off the sights really matter because the iron sights provided by the weapon are sufficient enough, heartbeat sensors are a waste because if they dont have ninja, they can be heard, so you should know where they are. the only possible one i could consider swopping extended for is FMJ, because off the bullet penetration, but still Extended is overall my personal recommendation because, combined with Scavenger pro, you can take down allot of enemies and still have some ammo in your clip to defend any enemies that picked up on your position, when your done clearing out that area, get behind cover and reload, and SoH pro makes reload faster, but some weapons reload fast regardless, you can also use the Reload/Run glitch to speed some weapons up.

Semtex do give a bigger blast radius, and yes you are right they are more useful in HQ where there are bunches of people in a room. but heres an example.

Guy A sees Guy B, they have a shoot out, both deal damage, no one dies, ok heres what Guy A can do

1)Guy A throws a semtex to Guy B, most causes he will walk away from it, there quite easy to jump up in air and stay alive from one.

2)Guy A holds a frag, times it, throws at Guy B, Frag explodes instantly killing Guy B.

now you can start to cook a frag straight away if you just attacked someone and hid behind cover, now with semtexs they start to cook as you release them, giving you no control over surprise.

Hope this helped, meesage back if you disagree

fist of all your guide is labelled as a guide to owning, not a guide to run and gunning. if players seriously want to own often and against good players then camping is the best way, no other strategy will lead you to get scores like 66-2, 53-1, 48-0 etc

the heartbeat sensor has a pretty large range, much further than you can hear.
Extended mags simply is useless unless you miss most of your shots, you rarely come up against more than 3 people at once and as i said ive killed 4 with a non-stopping powered normal size clip many times, if you want a huge clip, use an LMG.

heck even the n00btube is better than extended mags.

i see your point with the frag, but generally they'll both be behind cover and a semtex thrown towards them will mostly get the kill, a semtex thrown into a room has a much higher chance of killing the person in there too.
in 17 days playtime no one has ever cooked a frag at me from behind cover, i cannot remember my last frag grenade death that wasn't martyrdom.

it all depends on how much you die, i have no classes with sleight of hand pro other than snipers, because i run out of ammunition.
