Post: Realistic guide owning.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok first of id just like to say, in allot of guides, they tell you to do this and do that, i must say, every single game plays out differently, you have to react to every situation differently, also if you stick to the same tactics people learn from them pretty quick.

The honest truth to owning is as followed.

1) A really good aim, you need this, im not talking about aiming directly at people, im talking about speed. you see someone, its crucial you aim head/torso ASAP, with a high powered low recoil weapon with decent enough. the best weapon with a balance firepower, low recoil and ammo i have found to be assaults. extended mags is always a crucial. my personal favourite is ACR extended, i also recomend SCAR-H and the M16 is very powerful too.

2) Directional sense, This is also very crucial, you need to have your sound up and learn how to tell which sounds mean what, and what direction there coming from.. Example:

A noob hears a noise 'Ppphssssssssss' thinks nothing off it.

A decent play hears the same noise, instantly knows its a care package being called in, and sprints directly to it (with caution), this usually gets me a free kill also a free care package if its decent.

if its a killstreak that generally only good for one kill, like predators (lets be honest rarely get doubles) or if you love preds go for it, but remember the package will show up on the map, and lure people like wasps to coke, i shit you not, its rather a laugh seeing someone run up, look behind them, crouch and start to steal the package. another free kill.

remember people learn quick, so just get a few lure kills then pick up the package and be on your way.

3) Tactics, when i refer to tactics, im talking about spawn points, being cautious around known danger zones, heres some examples.

your playing SnD, the bomb has been planted, your approaching the bomb site, just remember that every time you RUN, you have less time you stop running and aim your weapon at people, now there most likely camping also so they have even bigger advantage. im not saying walk, just run when you know your relatively safe.

Another tactic, the Edges.. oh yes always stick to Edges there amazing. just think, if you could use half a screen to be more alert on other things, i mean you dont need the wall on your screen, so look inwards, you can cover more ground with the screen and therefore see more enemies.

just remember if theres alot of noobtubers in the game try to swop to the class with that anti noobtube thing i dont use it much not sure what its called, blast mask or something.

This is the tip section, i will check for tips posted in the thread and add them if there decent.

::Place a C4 right where your going to plant a bomb, hide somewhere, and listen out for the defuse sound, then detonate (Double tap Square)

::Claymores are most affective on the left side of doors, also place them at a 45 degree angle, not too close, but not to far away.

::Frags are not weak, pay off more than semtexs if timed correctly, most off the time totally unavoidable due to lack of frags used in game.

::The highest sensitivity really is not the best, my honest truth is that sens 7 is perfect, I have been shot from behind and its high enough to turn 180 degrees in time, also can give extreme precision that 10 or 9 just cant match.

::Riot shield with commando, have a pistol with tactical knife, when you approach an enemy, try to get them to follow you round a corner, or if your quick enough to do straight up, press triangle, and knife them, its really quick to pull out pistol, catches loads of people out. fun on SnD too Smile

ok thats all for now, be update tips section constantly with what ever anyone has to say!!

REP+ if this helped you loads, dont rep if dident help you much, theres no point in that. negative rep if this sucked for you lol. (hope not)

Dont comment if you know everything in this thread.

Both of you have valid points and no one will ever win the rusher vs camper debate. Whichever way is the most fun for you.
Never saw the need for ext mag, with scav or oma options but have friends that use it well.HBS can be usefull, if you don't look at it to much, the tone is a good alert.
Prefer semtex, if I miss my window throw, can't tell where that frag is ending up. Although a well timed cooked throw is unstoppable.
The post is very good and has useful tips and encourgages movement during the game.
If you can't aim quickley and accurately, this game can be a challange. Whether you camp or move around, but if you are not quick you better camp.

I don't feel the need for Extended Mags except for Intervention/ Scar-H.
I prefer silencer for most ARs' and SMGs'.

i love the frags.. you can bounce them off door jams, window, ceilings.. roll them off roofs and if you cook them.. they don't know what's comingand have no chance to run.. when you throw a semtex.. you can hear it going off and have time to use your blast shield(providing they have one).. yes i have been in games that i have seen enough of them(domonation).. yes i do use a blast shield at times.. extended mags are great with scavenger.. there has been so many times where i had to go up against more then 3 ppl and have had my clip run out.. usually from shooting a few times to make them take cover then run in for the kill... so yes i think ext mags are pretty good.. overall it's a good guide so people don't get themselves killed alot..

also the ext mags depends on what gun you use.. mainly subs are great with ext mags and scavenger.. since you're usually upclose and shooting from the hip.. you'll be spraying alot so the extra bullets do help..

also with a frag i like to do this.. cook it and run into a room and get Misery Loves Company Smile

i use to use a semtex all the time but i find you can do alot more with a frag.. you can get into those hard to get at places.. i think people use semtex cause it faster to blow up..

not matter how many guildes help sites ect people get... not every1 will have the reaction times of a "pro"

the ONLY way to get good with slow reactions is to eather

camp.. the best tatic for nukes ect but extremely noobish *note* only a good camper gets nukes... not the 1s that stay in the same corner for a full game

or.. learn the maps and ALWAYS attack the oposing team from behind.. my personal favorate

learning the maps all the spots people can and do hide in is much better than any gun on several maps ive nuked from knifes only by always attacking from behind

you cant make a guide.. you can put tips but cant ever claim it as a guide

Frags > Semtex's

Frags have a long timer, and it starts when you press the R2, not after it is released. They roll instead of sticking to surfaces. The real good thing? If you're in a point-blank shootout and you throw a frag on the ground near them, it forces them to divert their focus to either dodging it or throwing it back, and that means more chance you have of surviving. Also, if they're strafing trying to dodge your bullets and the grenade, chances are they'll slip up and either strafe into your line of fire or within the grenade explosion range. Also, they're more silent. In Hardcore there is no Grenade Indicator, and Semtex is EXTREMELY loud when there's not much shooting (Like in HC TDM), so if they hear a crack, followed by beeping, they know there's a Semtex nearby, but the sound of a Frag is much more quiet and subtle.
