For example - The single G18 pistol has lots of recoil and a not-so-high amount of power. But for some odd reason the second you switch to akimbo glocks the guns recoil is gone and the power nearly doubles. Am I the only person (who notices this/ or is annoyed by this) ?

Witouth akimbo they have less firepower but more accuracy (being only one gun shot) and they are better for mid range and hardcore(i get alot of kills in wasteland with a usp)

Akimbo doubles the firepower as 2 guns are shot and it better for close range (and mid if you are using handguns like USP, but its harder with a pair of deagle)

That's what I meant by duck and reload, duck and reload your primary weapon. Obviously that assuming you're not using your secondary as your primary.

really like to use single pistols most of the time i'm either using a USP silenced or with extended mags, but then again I have a really spazzy trigger finger and can shoot really fast. Also I snipe a lot so if I get a hitmarker I can switch out and spam some pistol on him/her .

I really hate people going around trying to get kills with just using pistols, unless it's in hardcore when they don't end up ike 4-15.

Akimbo G18's are ridiculous. Take this from an Uzi/F2000/Scar/Int w/ SOH whore. I'm all about speed and accuracy and the range and reduced recoil is bogus.
