So I thought what if you could back your ps3 files up to an external hard drive?

LMAO alright could you tell me step by step how you did the back up and what file you opened to get the pkg? Because when I go to my backup that i made it is just a bunch of .dat files and I am completely lost. You can send me a PM of the tutorial if you don't want to post it here.

Now our only problem is editing it and getting it back onto the PS3. Damn this is so hard! Really wish I had 2 PS3's one with 3.15 and other with 3.30 that would make things so much easier!

Nope, turns out there is no possible way to downgrade. Many people have offered suggestions and I tried every single one and wasn't successful at all. Some guy even called Sony up and Said there was a problem with his PS3 and asked if it was possible to downgrade it and they told him it was not possible.

The only "possible" was is to get an infectus chip but you had to already make a dump of the last fw in order to downgrade to it.

So all in all, we are pretty much stuck right now until the creator of PS3 HDD Studio comes out with a new version to decrypt FW 3.30....Hopefully it's soon

Is there anyway to restore the ps3 to the factory settings the import your files?

Well even if you do the ps3 FW is installed on the Motherboard Nand itself so it would still ask you to insert storage media containing update 3.30 or later.

Lol am I still the only one who has this working this is how I managed to do the hacks I will give you guys untill I get home from school and if no one figures this out I will post how to do it
