this will not work because you need the patch. to get the patch you need a image of the ps3 and to get the image you need a dump file which was patched by ps3. you have to be on ps3 firmware 3.0.
This will clarify: firmware is combined of Hard Ware and Soft Ware and you cant really edit it. i theroy i have come to is when there is another firm ware update you can packet inject the 3.0 firmware instead of the next updated you will end up downgradeing.
