What I mean by that is what Ihatecompvir said in his post that sony keyed their .pkg, well I was thinking you could download a Ps3 Iso loader, and load a pc verison that's been modded on your ps3, But the down side is you would need a phat playstation 3 and you would also need to downgrade your firmware to atleast where you could put linux back on your ps3.

That wouldn't work, in my opinion. You'd get it running on Linux, but it'd just be like running it from your PC, on a PC.

But, I may be wrong also.

Well the only way to prove a theory is to test.

Iso loader is fake, and it's impossible to downgrade, as parts of the FW are stored in NAND and the NAND is unfortunately encrypted.

If you backup your data. Then access the recovery menu, which i can. You can actually restore your ps3 to factory settings meaning before any updates were installed.
