(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've posted this in a thread and have said to a couple of people, but I'm putting in a separate thread so people can see it, as people still seem to be trying to use it :/

Right, now for some proof that this only opens debug packages.

Picture 1)

Making a package using the program, config and edata

You must login or register to view this content.

Successful in making a package file:

You must login or register to view this content.

Unpackaging the created package using the program works:

You must login or register to view this content.

Note no need for a + or - in this case

Now trying the same with the Modern Warfare patch:

You must login or register to view this content.

This program is made for DEBUG PACKAGES ONLY, the simple fact the patch has a different naming convention (extra sections on the end of the regular pattern) shows something else was done to it after it was made in this program (like being signed by Sony), hence the program cannot 'unpackage' the contents.

And yes, I have tried making my own mw2 patch, and further proof of this being a debug only program is that when the custom made patch goes to install on the ps3 it gives an error, which when searched for, tells me I am trying to install a debug package on a retail machine....

Case closed as far as I can tell here.

I know, I've said for a long time that you cannot use the SDK to unpackage a retail .pkg, but as soon as it goes from the current page you get people asking about it again. Hopefully this thread will make people realise at last.

Why would I need that? I can do much better things with my GSC coding than unlocking emblems and challenges....

Also, this is not a thread about hacking the patch, this is a thread to tell people not to waste time going about using the SDK to unpack, as it will not work this way.

If you have tools, you can make the PKG debug..
Hunter posted it on PS3News.

First of all, its an incomplete code.

Secondly, welcome to 4 months ago on the code to unlock it.

GSC CODING IS PLATFORM INDEPENDENT. YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING NEW.

Yes, I can make .pkg myself, the problem is that they are debug packages until sony sign them themselves to make them retail. I tried installing one of my packages, and, as expected, got the error code that relates to it being a debug package installed on a retail machine
