I have a modded PSP and, since the operating system is the same, by some homebrew we can open the .pkg.
The only problem is that the PSP haven't the Playstation Network and the Patch, but there's the demos downlodable by the Playstation Store.

psps don't use pkgs, they use eboots and .elf files
