(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Dropshotting Is a Technique where you laydown and shoot at the same time, Most people who shoot at you will aim for the upper body, So dropshotting basicaly makes you dodge the bullets. This technique is used mostly on W@W, but their are still people who do it on MW2, I do ;]

How to Dropshot:
Dropshotting is simple, all you do is hold 3 buttons at once - LT, RT & B. The hard thing about it is aiming the shot right. When your laying down the aim of the gun will go down with you, so you have to move it up as you go down.

When you see a person and you go 1 on 1 with them hit the 3 buttons and you should kill him ;]

Scenario:
1) You run around a corner and bump into someone, its normally a 50 50 chance if you die or kill the person, but if you apply dropshotting the person you bump into will not know where you are because he/she will be looking up and not down and then you just Spray and Prey.

2) Your getting shot from behind, normally you would die unless you get lucky, but If you apply dropshotting into this you could do a 180 dropshot and then shoot, this technique is harder because aim the shot up is hard when you've done a 180, this would be much easier for a quickscoper becuase normally quickscopers have the sensitivity 8+ and have the ability to hit 180 shots.

3) Dropshotting is also useful when you are being shot from somewhere you dont know, like someones in a building and you know their about to kill you you could just pop a dropshot in their and they will most probably miss then you just run away and then kill him later on.

Dropshotting is hard at first but you will get used to it, Pros that use this technique know when to apply a dropshot. Normally I apply a dropshot when I know I have no chance against a person.

I will be providing links later on.

Drop shotting is easier if you use tactical layout. This makes the B button move onto the right stick. Then you can aim as you're dropping to the floor. You can no longer knife effectively, but who needs to knife when you can drop shot?

Yes, as some people have said already dropshotting is far easier with tactical button layout (for the people that are not familiar with tactical button layout, the knife button and the crouch button swap around :P) I dropshot also and I do it instinctively, meaning I dropshot automatically. I once was accused of using an auto dropshot mod on my controller (which I do NOT have!) as I was dropshotting at almost every kill Smile For some people dropshotting can be frowned upon at times as it is known as a cheap or nooby way of getting kills... Bottomline: Dropshotting is very effective and you will almost always win a 1 on 1 encounter with an enemy. Hope I helped Smile I recommend you purchase dropshotting today! Thanks for reading my reveiw =D

on ps3 you change layout to tactical that makes crouch/prone R3(the right analog stick) instead of circle.

the reason its easier is because you aim with the right stick, so you can push it down to go prone and aim at the same time, instead of having to press another button as well.

Dropshotting/jump shotting and jump-dropshotting is mainly effective with juggernaut, it works with any perk but jugganaut allows you to survive long enough to turn a situation where you are disadvantaged into your favour.
most notably with the mp5 and mp40.

on mw2 you die alot faster so its not as useful, it still gives you the edge if you dropshot and your opponent doesn't.

i play on 14 sensitivity (i do drop shot) but if i used the normal non-tatical layout i would have no chance of knifeing 1 small slip with the finger makes u do a 1080 looking into the sky or were ever so i need to use tatical and i have no problems knifeing, i dont do it often i just drop shot but if i get surprized its probbaly as fast as normal controls when u get used to it

^^ disagree about it not working on mw2, but yeh on games that take a little skill (W@W and too a lesser extent cod4) it wins you the fight 95% of the time
