(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Unkn0wn obviously wants to use the linux OtherOs due to his statement about using 3.15fw and saying look what the PS3 hacking teams have done in the past three years pointing to GeoHot.

GeoHot quote we he discovered exploit in OtherOs
"3 years, 2 months, 11 days…thats a pretty secure system"

I think we need an up-to-date PS3 and one with 3.15fw to use linux on and mod the patch on that PS3 then transfer it to the new PS3 and load it to get the hacks. Also I know theres a setting to transfer stuff from one PS3 to another but theres probably an easier way..

Only if Unkn0wn could tell me if this is right lol cuz people probably won't believe this.

@The PKG thing

PKG is a type of Linux well certain Distro format.

But Linux PKG, MAC OSX PKG and SONY PKG are all "Completely" different.

And YES. I know for a fact. (I have checked it out on my laptop.)

ya but another fact i have for you Ps3 is BASED OFF LINUX there has to be a a linux that can open the Ps3 linux pkg other than the ps3 linux itself

i am not sure of this but i think that when you download the mappack you have to click it and install it right? Maybe just Maybe when you download it and run the OtherOS you can find it and open it cause when you download it to your Ps3 it has an Icon but when you Dl it to the PC it doesn't maybe the ps3 changes the format when it come to it so it become "secure" and when you download it and open the OtherOS you will find it in another type of file like exe or rar or whatsoever and simply extract and then re-compress it after modifying it
