(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just wondering. Most of the people here seem to do so.

Edit: To be more specific, why do you boost as opposed to playing the game how it's intended to be played?

ya im right there with you, i havent boosted in a while, nor have i asked, but even though i did the proxy server to get cagematch i havent used it (mainly i forget about it) but ya i think at one point in some MW2 or any cod players life, they considered boosting... whether it be headshots, or challenges, or perks doesnt matter, they considered it...

I disagree. I don't believe even half of players of COD have considered boosting because it's a pride thing. Most players (I believe) feel a sense of accomplishment when they prestige or complete challenges the way it was intended to do these things and not by boosting.

Plus I think most people think it's much more fun to play the game how it was intended to be played as opposed to sitting in a game and shooting somebody's head for 10 minutes. There is much more of a challenge in playing conventionally and I think this is why most people do not boost. Like someone else here mentioned, I cannot see the point in paying for a game and then not actually playing it. Boosting, to me, is not playing. Boosting is completing tasks in the game without playing it.

I’ll open this post with what I think on the matter. For me boosting is not a desire, it’s more a passion you enjoy the game for what it is as were I do not (at least not anymore). I do not find repeatedly dyeing from N00B Tube fire to be any fun what so ever nor do I find that being no scoped from across the map through a solid wall to be realistic by any stress of the imagination plus another hundred things that is wrong with this game that is making this game literally unplayable. I went through the prestiges up to 7th completely legitimate without any form of boosting and then my love for IW’s Cod was destroyed by the many Hackers, Glitchers & Boosters alike. I have played COD since COD2 on the PC and then tried COD3 and it was a fail so I waited for COD4 by IW and it was the best game ever as Cod4 is really well balanced. Personally I though W@W’s Multiplayer was a pile of shit but Zombies was epic so it made up for it. Then the most anticipated game in years was released at midnight and i was at the store to collect my copy and it was great at first then as more people hacked prestige boosted in public games & completely destroyed the leader boards the quality diminished. IF YOU CAN’T BEAT THEM JOIN THEM.... So I did!

I actually never understood the desire to boost. Think about it:

You spend $60 on a game, so you can sit in a corner shooting the same person over and over who isn't moving nor fighting back. You might aswell be shooting a wall. It can't be very fun.

Of course there are those who say "I need to do it for the challenges.". But then ask them, "Why?". Typically they say "Because I don't want to spend 10 days finishing them all.". But they'd rather spend 5 days repeatedly shooting the same non-moving target?

It just makes no sense to me. I'd rather not have challenges complete, than to spend 4 or 5 hours a day just killing the same guy over and over who doesn't fight back.

I’ll just make a point here and you can figure the rest...
42 Gold Weapon Titles, that’s 37 that need headshots that means 37,000 headshots I’m pretty sure that this cannot be done in 10 days or even 10 weeks or EVEN 10 MONTHS let alone the stupid amount of Stinger kills I mean come on 5,000 helicopters? Even if you did an average or 2 helicopters per game say, the average domination lasts 11 minutes that’s 2500 Games or 27,500 minutes (19 days Game Play) JUST for the stinger alone so if you play for 8 hours a day 5 days a week the stinger alone will take 57 DAYS. That is just the stinger... what about the rest?

That may very well be true but not in my case, I openly admit to boosting and I’m happy that I have all of my challenges done without hacking (apart from the stinger gold and the spinning tenth emblem) whether I cheat or not is beside the point as getting this game 100% Legit complete would take literally years and people will be playing COD16 by the time it was done.

I’m pretty sure once you consider how long this game would really take you would also join the ranks of boosters just to see the back of this game.

In the past I would have agreed with you but seeing as prestiging is more of a chore than an accomplishment because of the prestige hack I totally disagree. The prestige system is to show other players that you have beat the 70 levels many time over and that you are good at the game no? Well I could hack prestige in 2 mins... that’s not right now is it? That means the prestiging system is a total waste of time.

There was also a time when i would of whole heartedly agreed with you about playing the game how it was intended but the amount of over powered weapons in the game makes it unplayable, i mean OMA is a joke, scavenger should of been limited and Commando (although I love this) it should be removed or reduced in range. The NoobTube should have had less damage and radius and the intervention should not be so accurate over half a map weather you have steady aim or not.

Its obvious you do not like people boosting so I’ll say this...

Boosting was forced upon the players of Modern Warfare 2 by Infinity Ward by adding impossible tasks to the game to be completed before the next game in the series is released. Infinity Ward obviously think people want to spend years completing challenges within multiplayer on the game and attempt to keep people interested in the game, i have no doubt that there will be people playing this game for years to come but this will not be the only game in the series by this time.

The fact that this game is so broken and was rushed into release left files unprotected witch lead to hacking and parts of the game play that were broken left open the door for people to “Glitch” such as the” javelin glitch”, “elevators” and “unlimited air drops” amongst the many. I do still have my passion for the COD series but for the moment I’m now leaning toward Treyarch to deliver the next Playable & Balanced game in the series..

not all challenges and boosting is like this. i just finished boosting hijacker 3. doing unlimited cp glitch on bypass and jacking crates. i have 32 days played and have not done this challenge legit so i bypassed and did it in less than 1 hour. so yes for me it benefited me to boost.
and your taking about hs boosting.
i agree most boosting is retarded and you shouldn't get all worked up over damn challenges since to me thats what started the whole camping thing. prestige challenges made campers a norm of mw2 due to all these children trying to get gold titles(1000kills) with each goddamn k/s

but some boosting like 8 ppl in ffa is still mildly retarded but still fun to play with our friends. all in all i have been playin cod since mw1 and i didnt boost til mw2 you can call me a noob because i didn't even know what boosting was. i did all my challenges legit

boosting is for die hard mw2 fans that want everything and who i am to tell them how to waste their time? go ahead and boost for hours but dont do it in a public game

I do it just cos there are too many f'in challenges in the game so I try to elminate as many hard ones with my friend as possible so I do the easier one's in public game. I mean who gets 250 kills on a gun legit? It's far too many. Facepalm
