162-0 in game battles = bullshit. IF hes that good he should try and play gamebattles on the 360. Stop lying about how skillfull your mate is with an AK to back up sniping.

Sniping in MW2 is easy, and its popular because anybody can get a "quickscope", which is why you see 12 year olds or less, going around with crap names such as "iiRaPiiDzZ, iiQuiiCkzZ, ReAcTiiOnZzxX" etc, ive just made them names up on the spot but can guarantee soebody has them, because they think theyre "sick at quickscoping".

Many people base quickscoping on how good you are at the game, however most of these people use 1 gun all the time, and its easy to use. If you put many "quiscopers" into an SnD, they would get beaten by a team with Umps, Famas, M16s etc.

I use it ocasionally on larger maps, and can quickcsope, as its easy, you line the target in the middle of your screen, hit l1 then r1. Its 2 buttons at the end of the day.

Well if people are in a Party then they will snipe and automatilcally shout out '360!!' or sumfink like that. So IMO it makes them look good.

Personally, I do it for that one perfect shot. When someone is across the map, with just the top of their head sticking out. I used to use the Intervention, but something about a one shot kill to anywhere but the foot or hand felt cheap. Now I use a silenced M21, and head hunt.

I am completely unimpressed with people's montages. They're just edited BS to make someone look good. Anybody can edit 6 days of game play footage and make a 3 minute video of crazy BS.

As far as the trick shot craze goes, nobody cares about your beast no-scope from across Wasteland. It didn't take any skill, and everyone knows it. Quick scoping takes some skill, once you have the timing down, its as easy as using the Spas. 360s..................... I'm so tired of every idiot trying to get a 360 game winning kill with w/e gun they have I can't even express it, leave these to the people that can do it from mid range with a QS. Your 360 Spas kill from right behind someone, is a no-skill, FAIL.

At the end of the day, a sniper rifle is a sniper rifle. If you want to be good with a gun, use it as it was intended. One shot, one kill undetected, from a distance.

Meh. But if somebody was 1v1 ing me, trying to quiscope me and 360 me, my famas would bash them 99.9/100. Its proven. Quickscoping isnt the most effective way, unless your both trying to do it. A hardscoper (a good one), will beat a quickscoper anyday IMO.

Quickscoping doesnt make anybody good. Its far too easy in mw2.

I think it's partially because of Hutch, OpTic, and all those people, but mostly because it feels good (scope in, shoot, and have that One Shot One Kill pop up with that hit marker sound, and fun

Sniping is a great method for new players and campers to stand off and try to get their kill streak rewards. On levels like Overgrown sniping can take over, especially when used with the right perks. Sniping can be particularly effective on games like Dominition where teams are even and the fight centers around a central flag location. Then you do not have to worry about sneaks and silencers getting you much. I too like the head shots, just plain fun.
