(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok well unknown said something about making a program for himself to make modded lobbies. Well I bet he made a program that unpacks the pkgs with the correct headers in that program. And then he mods it and then repacks it with the same headers and has a checksum checker and a syntax checker. whick would make sense since every ps3 game has pkg files as patches. so that is how he is modding all these games. Then he modded the COD games so easily because he knew the headers for all of them.

And unknown is an amazing programmer so he could probably do that.

I think the is the right route.

Someone please comment and tell me what you think.

So it not like i am going to find the sig and change it or anything.

What would be the point of requiring files to be signed before being read by the console if it was possible to just edit the files and retain the signature?

2.it is already signed so dont worry.

All pkgs that the PS3 uses are signed, but when you edit them, you lose that signature.

Until you have tried a method, don't post about it. We don't need any more untested theories cluttering up the forums. Wait to post you information until after you've tested it, to cut the clutter.

Really? What makes you so certain they did it this way?

and as to your question, I haven't the slightest clue. I didn't really get into this as much as some of the other users.

Forget about MW2 for a moment. We're looking at the PS3, it is very unlikely that the process has anything to do with MW2. (Other than the mods themselves, but everyone is trying to figure out how to use the mods in the first place.)
