Well there can be a few reasons. Firstly, and this is the main reason I use the deagle is that they have a quicker pull out time so if you get a hitmarker on someone at close range a quick switch and a spray will probably kill them before they can kill you, and most of the time before they even get a shot off. This reason is a big one in SnD where you only get 1 life so a quick switch is needed. Secondly, they are "harder" to use and supposidly "not as nooby" so people use them to try and prove that they are 1337 or pro. Also, OpTic's often use these for the first point I made, and so there are a lot of people using deagle FMJ cos it's what OpTic do and everyone wants to be an OpTic so using a deagle somehow makes them an OpTic. Finally, the most used class in CoD4 was a M40A3 (bolt action sniper) with a deagle (the CoD4 deagle was beast BTW) and so some people use a deagle to try and make it like the good ol' days.

People will usually use tac knife because it reduces the recoil on both them guns or to get the kill quicker in a more close quarters combat situation, but I don't see or feel to bigga difference so I use FMJ.

Hey guys. I've been a sniper for months now and I use rafficas akimbo as my secondary. But I always see guys with desert eagle or 44 magnums with tac knife....
Isn't rafficas better then a single shot dealgle. Well why do they use it?

Actually the Raffica's get pulled out 0.2 seconds slower but I'd rather take the 0.2 slower swap time and get a more superior secondary.

i use the akimbo m9s because theres so many rounds there to just waste on nothing, just unload on someone, its my personal preference now, but i was a single gun guy until i realized the power of the m9

I have 4 sniper classes. Each one with a different handgun so I use them all and I do agree that the M9's are very powerful. But I use the M9 with extended mags because I like to have more precision if I'm shooting someone. Again, personal preference.
