You talkin to me?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK, I've extracted the MW2 1.10 PKG (DEBUG), and am currently in the process of trying to edit the patch_mp.ff file.
Now, I know that as of now, you cannot properly edit and save a PS3 patch_mp.ff file. However, you can on XBox. So I know that the headers are different and that changing a ps3 patch to the header of an xbox one will not work. But what about the other way around?

What if I edited a MW2 360 patch_mp.ff then changed the header to a PS3 one? Then rebuild the PKG and install using PSJB?

Any ideas/Thoughts?

So let me get this straight, You are trying to do this to avoid the update? Im sorry I am ignorant to MW2!

Also how does Mw2 check to see if there is a update? is it in SSL packets?

Just via a PKG, if it's a newer version than what's already on the console, then it will install accept it the game boots...

Ok so it does a PKG check! Do me a favor and capture all traffik between the ps3 and the server at time of log in. I am sure they have intergrated the PKG check into the same SSL packets that protect your log in info and password. I also think these packets contain the console id.

But like I said, Just capture all traffik between the Server and the Ps3 during login.

Also this is why I would want access to the Flash, Since the Firmware is stored there I am sure the Console Id is stored there also, and maybe even the Pkg info, So maybe the server sends a command to check the PKG in the Flash. (Not really sure).

My dam PsJailBreak needs to hurry up and get here! Do you have one?

PKGs aren't checked, really... PKGs are just like MSIs for Windows. They are just installer packages...
