Before I moved to my current location I had a lower isp package like 8down/1up and got host ever-once in a while and seen no difference. But we moved and upgraded 25down/3up and when ever I'm host I see a huge disadvantage. When-ever I round a corner I'm dead, I die in like 1 one less shot and everyone takes an extra shot to kill.

To be honest it's ruining the game for me.
Hosting I'm like 8k/13d+ a match
Not-Hosting I'm playing like my old self 14k/7d-

basically I just want to know if anyone else seems to be experiencing a host disadvantage?

its easier for me when im host, its supposed to be easier

I usually always get a host ADvantage because I make everyone else lag when I am host.

I had this problem and i slowed my speed from 21 to 8 and still had the problem so traded ps3 version in and bought for xbox and its a little better when im host but not much

I know it's supposed to be easier :?D but when it actually comes down to the majority of the times I host, I'm getting raped.



hmm damn, cause I thought about taking my ps3 out of dmz so MW2's nat would go to strict. but if downgrading your speeds didn't work then Idk.

Host will usually give you an advantage as if you and your oppenent fire at the same time yours will hit first so in CQC you will usually win. Bur I suppose it depends on the player.

My ps3 isn't in DMZ, but my NAT type is Moderate, and sometimes even Open if I'm the only one home and nothing wireless is going on

Mine used to be that way, but with my new router if I'm not in the dmz MW2 goes Moderate, and if I change a few firewall rules it goes strict.
