(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, well as you all know about PS3 jailbreaks and modding the patch on 3.41 FW, well i've done all of that and got the FTP server from ps3news and i also got the backup manager and filezilla, and once i bring the modded patch to my ps3 on filezilla and after I turn off the ps3 and re-boot with jailbreak I go to Mw2 multiplayer and after that..black screen. nothing else!! please help! I'll give free lobbies to the people who help me out!

what patch did you use and did you use the ps3 header

I used the GodlyModz patch and used the IWffu100 header.

I am also having the same problem, so do many others. And it seems to occur even when the tuts and instructions are followed flawlessly.

I will be making more attempts tonight to see if I can figure out the bug. But I have a hunch this has something to do with regional coding.

Most (actually all) of the tuts I see mention BLES, well in the US the region coding is BLUS, so while it may work for BLES users, it might not work on BLUS. Meaning that it's possible the patch.mp.ff is region coded. (just a theory of course). I mean after all patches are in fact region coded, so it's possible that regional code is located specifically in the patch.mp.ff file.

Maybe we can get a list going, to see what region users who have successfully and unsuccessfully done the mod. If we find out that all BLUS users get the BSOD while BLES users have it working correctly.. then we may have our answer.

I dont think it has to do with regional coding because patches are patches it wouldnt matter.

Patches are region locked.. trust me. If you DL maps from the EU PS store and use them with a BLUS/BCUS MW2 game disk (rather than a BLES/BCES disk), they will not work.

DLC is a major problem for people who have game disks that do not match the region of their PS store. And the DLC is located inside the patch, which indicates that whether or not there is maps, the patch is region locked.

Anybody else? If you have the patch working (or not working with BSOD), what is the regional code of your MW2 game?

im using BLES00683...UK.. tried using a few diff patches without backing up the game to my int hd and was Fail ,black screen every time ..
im now just in process of using backup manager and then ill start messing again with the patch ....tomorrow
