got a feeling theres only so many times u can keep flicking that power switch before she goes ...Bang...

Well, that blows my theory out of the water! Thanks for the reply.

EDIT: And yeah I feel the same way about switching the power. Doing so has usually proven to reduce/ruin the PS3 blu ray laser and cause disk read errors for BD games/movies. I have always tried avoiding using the switch... but with this hack, its unavoidable. I also fear very soon my PS3 will be without a working BD laser and I will be out of luck for any future jailbreak hacks involving games.

Climbing up the ladder
Alright, I resolved my BSOD issue. Turns out the patch I thought was a modded godlymod patch, was actually not modded at all. I did however have a REAL godlymods patch on hand and when I followed the tuts to the T, it worked great. Although the patch is so glitchy! It freezes just about every few mins when you access the hacks menus.

Anywho, here is a few tips for those getting the BSOD.

- Every time you you do the hack and fail, you need to delete the patch, re-download and install it. You cannot just start back up and go straight to the FTP server and try re-uploading another patch to your PS3. This is why I got the BSOD. Each and every attempt must start from scratch.

- Patch size seems to not matter. My original patch was 228kb, and the godlymods one is 217kb. And it worked fine for me.

- Use hexworkshop. I am not sure if this really matters or not, but Hexworkshop is one of the best hex editing programs IMO. It also has a extremely useful 'compare' feature which lets you compare two files to see what the differences are (if any). This is how I figured out the patch I thought was hacked, wasn't. Because when I compared it to my original patch straight off my PS3 (which was not hacked)... it was exactly the same. Hexworkshop isn't free, but you can find cracks all over the net. I found mine on youtube, it wasn't a virus and worked flawlessly. Just search for this on youtube (How to: Crack HexWorkShop v6) it is the one with the most views.

Below is the working godlymods patch I used. Rapidshare tells me the file can only be downloaded 10 times, so if it is used up, somebody let me know and I will re-upload.

So yeah, for those getting BSOD just start from scratch and follow the tuts to the T. Delete your patch and follow a tut like this one (You must login or register to view this content.).

If you still have problems, I am not sure what to say. I resolved mine so that's as much as I can help.

The GetInGetOut patch gave me the BSOD but fortunately i just overwrote that patch with the Gogdlymodz one and... Voila...though it can be buggy, as long as i get my titles/emblems/level 70 idc Happy

Actually *patches* are region locked...as in pkgs that you download from psn etc. But the patch_mp.ff are completely region free. They work from region to region as long as you swap only the patch_mp.ff with FTP Server

Biz is from Canada... so he obviously doesn't use BLUS region code... correct me if I'm wrong please. But I'm pretty sure, not a guarantee.
