If we got the whole patch folder and then compressed it into a pkg then could I or anyone else for that matter. Load it via proxy server? I need someone to test this who has two ps3's because no one else want's to risk losing there patch.. Also IDK how to repack things into pkg's but I was thinking we could use make_pakg_nrpdm file in the dev kit or whatever that file is called.

Any thoughts?

Many people have tried the HDD method before the PSJB method was released and we were told that it was a dead end. But back then, ther was no modded patch converted and working on a PS3 that any of us had. And now that we do have GodlyModz patch for PS3, we could attempt the HDD method once again and test this "theory".

Try the HDD method and report back to us with your findings. :roll:

If anyone wants me 2 test anything, I have 2 PS3s. They both have GodlyModz installed. One has 3.42 and the other has 3.50. I didnt know about Data Transfer untill after I updated to 3.42.

Just to clear this up: make_package_npdrm packs the files into a PKG file. we can unpack them because they aren't signed, even developers don't know how to sign pkgs, online Sony do.

we can't use ftp method to install our own pkgs...
