I tried changing the HDD to the PS3 that is working perfectly (3.50) and it also says to update to 3.50 or the PS3 can't start. All I need is to get the mw2 patch into the PS3 that has FW 3.41

yes it is possible, but not through data and software, since its embeded, this calls for serious moding, meaning you will void your warrenty and take your ps3 apart and replace a few chips with older chips

Yes my fat ps3 has had all of this done to it by ozmodchips.

Exactly what i had to do, my lobbies are running now. Started with havoc undead v6 but switched to elite mossy's patch and its the best one by far!

You are unable to do this. It isnt this complicated. Just have internet connection setup and dont sign into psn. Start mw2 and it will ask for you to dl the patch. SIMPLE.
