you still getting black screens on your compression? i can help if needed... but im not going to teach you my way. i can show you the longer way that should work. then you will probably figure out the shortcuts

Yes, but it is odd. It is almost like certain patches can't be edited.

Example, I have edited Mossies, and Havac patch. both worked fine...Nothing big of course on edits. Also, key notes, in mossies I just edited the dd.gsc Worked... In havac i edited missions. Changed the Level 70 to level 700 (Just text in menu). It booted up fine.

The one black screening I'm getting the error on editing the events.gsc. Just changing the Clan tag that is in DVAR. The edit don't even change the file size. I do check it to make sure though.

Is it that just some can't be edited? (Just looking for opinion on that).

EDIT: Forgot to tell you the ODDEST thing lol. I took the original patch. Put on PS3, it did boot just making sure that it was the original. (Have been doing tons and tons of testing).

I extracted the missions on it. Didn't add anything. Just removed the Long comment toward the bottom. If you have looked in original which I'm sure you have you might know where I mean. (I'm sure you do).

I removed that and put it back together (same method of doing otehr patch havac that I did mission).

Black screened. That is what truly has me mind boggled. Because I just removed the comment. I did add footer, header, and changed the file size to match. Just like I did on the havac patch that I successfully edited the missions.

im sorry but i had to laugh your getting a case of bad luck xD.
but back on the point. i have successfully compressed all gsc's (not together just over time) and they never gave a black screen for me. which headers are you copying from? since that could be your problem
