but back on the point. i have successfully compressed all gsc's (not together just over time) and they never gave a black screen for me. which headers are you copying from? since that could be your problem

It is ok to laugh. I have actually laughed a few times myself.

By the headers say you mean on the Original patch? The header I been starting at on say that is 78 DA.

Well, actually that is where I have been starting them all at. Been going down to the next GSC, then up two YYYY Sets. Example, the original patch_mp.ff

Started in the 0000b4a0.dat at offset D7D2 all the way to end.
Ended at the 00014f51.dat from the top of file to the offset 0000061C (pretty sure the is the name of offset, check screenie).

The highlighted offset is where I'm going down to. I have also went down to the end of the next set of YYYY also. But same results of course.

Hum..Is your US?

This is a "stupid" question, do you think it might have something to do with me running x64 Bit windows? I would think no...cuase i have edited some other ones.

I'm downloading a fresh patch_mp again. To see if it is different.

Just for redownload of patch_mp.ff from game. It is the same. 00014f51.dat that YYYY is in same spot...

I'm copying all the YYYY and up. that is why i showed an image of the spot and up and do Smile. Cause wasn't sure the number of offset.

EDIT: Sorry for massive quotes, lol.

These are offsets, I'm looking at the bottom of HxD.

0000b4a0.dat == d7d2-ffff
00014f51.dat == 0-61c

Image of 0-61C on 00014f51.dat

And of course it is copied all the way to the top.

I don't know which patch you used on that images, but I think you selected to much area. Im gonna use a example of mossy his missions.gsc to explain what I mean.

Above, between some FF FF codes you can see the lenght/size. It say it is 2E 47. Then start selecting at the header (the header is always 78 DA as far as I know), and wait untill you have the 2E 47 length. Then copy it to a new file and save it as missions_compressed.gsc or whatever.
