I cant ever get it to decompress _missions.gsc to make the file 00000003.dat I get nothing in the missions folder...?

Are you using a x64 operating system? Many users that are using x64 OS are having this problem. Try to run it in compatibility mode.

Are you using HxD? Because Ctrl+E should work, if not, go to Edit-Select Block Happy

Well I have given up for now because of time constraints, but I will be back later if there isnt an easier way by the next time I attempt this, but thanks anyways.

what do i do if my offset is too high??? do I delete some codes and the add the ff ff ff ff at the end of the mission.gsc??

If the length is bigger than "2E4C" then you'll have to delete things from the "00000003.dat" file and then follow the tutorial.
