You could if you are willing to wait. I wouldn't say that the auto bricker will be any safer but it will for sure be easier.

As for your questions...

I have the other PS3 "Fat" already jailbroken running f/w 3.41, and used that to transfer data to my online PS3... I have done what I wanted on my other online PS3.. My online PS3 has all my original game saves and data etc, that I want to keep... and modded files etc...

Question was how could I take jailbroken PS3 online and still have the jailbroken facilities.. i.e. I'm running filezilla and Blackbox etc to get to HDD, but want some other games to play but need updates etc and online access but don't want to lose HDD access if you know what I mean

Would DNS's the system say spoof it so I could load up new games,get updates and still get access to HDD and start modding files??? If so could you PM details as to how to do this....

Yes I'm helping quite a few people but that's what I'm dedicating my efforts to here on this forum.

If you do the DNS bypass then YES you would indeed be able to keep all your facilities and be able to go online while JailBroken.

The DNS bypass will bypass updating firmware but will allow any Game Specific updates to be downloaded so that you can play online while keeping BlackBox and such.

To do the DNS bypass go to the settings tab in the XMB (Main Menu) scroll down to Network, Click Setup network connection (or something of the sort.) Select CUSTOM and not Easy setup. Just click through as you normally would until you get to SET DNS? and select yes.

Now put 67.202.81.137 as both your PRIMARY and SECONDARY DNS numbers. Once entered continue on until you get to the network test. Let the test finish to make sure the connection is good. Now sign into PSN and you should not be asked to update!

You will now never be asked to update unless you change your DNS numbers.

just 1 question, I pressume your friends/got a deal with Chrome Playa and his patch????

If you have that patch on your PS3, I have had alook at the coding and am not exactly sure were/what he's done with host/co-host and passsword functions??? any idea were they are in his patch as looking at the coding it seems everyman and his dog could get into a lobby if everyone had his patch!!!!

Seen some coding, but not exactly sure were he's put it....

Haha I wish I was a friend of ChromePlaya as I admire him greatly as a coder but no I have no deal or friendship with him. His patch is just the one out of all the patches I've tested that works the best. And I'd have to say I've tested around 150 to 200 different patch edits and I test even more new ones every day.

As far as what you mean by what he's done with host, co-host, and password... I really am not sure what you're looking for. There is a host menu in the patch but I'm not sure what you're looking for when you say co-host and password?

If you're looking to lock the lobby to keep people from joining the lobby you can activate the Anti-Join function. I do believe that is found under the host menu.

If you could further explain what you're looking to have answered then I'll do my best to give you a better answer.

I was just asking whether you knew where exactly Chrome Playa has put coding so he can be host and added another friend as co-host i.e. when he's not playing it, his friend can still host... also was looking for the password section to stop people that aren't verified from getting in??? Yes anti-join would work, but I have alittle trick on my patch on my online PS3 to double stop people joining my lobby!!!!

Just wondering whether you knew were the coding for this was????

Also just a thought about going online on my other PS3!!! I have just gain some more software... This will spoof my PS3 on f/w v3.41 into thinking it's on 3.55!! But would this allow me to go online or would it be trial and error???

Would you mind sending me a link to download the DT edit 15 as I've not tested it yet.

As far as where any of the coding is in Chromes patch I'm really not sure. I've never actually edited or looked at one of the patches code.

Also I've not seen much on spoofing software for the ps3 so I can't really comment on that. I would only say that yes it would be trial and error.

I'd be interested to hear back from you how the spoofing works.
