on the 3.66 ps3 i have some save files that are copy protected, so i was wondering if i copied from 3.66 to 3.55, put the mw2 patch on 3.55, then copied it back to 3.66, i would still have all my copy protected save data on the 3.66?

U cant transfer from 3.66 to 3.55, it will ask for your 3.55 ps3 to update to the latest software. But what you can do is backup your data with a usb which you can restore your ps3 from if you need to use your files again.
