Because in my eyes you say you apply a patch to the game data?? So if someone patches there modern warfare 2 with a CL Patch and they copied there game data to USB uploaded it here then, I download put onto my USB then bam copy and overwrite then I have a mw2 patch on 3.66 OFW..?

Extension 1: It seems I want to buy a ps3 with 3.55 but I'm in the UK so where could I find one? Could I like on my PC run the PS3 os in virtualbox on 3.55 then add that to the network and game transfer? I just need to know where I can buy a FAT 3.55 PS3 for under £100, Can have the disc drive broken.

CL work because you can modify the data within the update data sent from IW.


You must have 2 PS3s. One on 3.55 CFW or earlier, the other on 3.66 OFW. You have the 3.55 which is rooted(admin level access to the file structure & allow the running of unsigned code). You must have the MW2 1.12 update data installed on this. It is available by searching this forum for "1.12 pkg" Once that is installed, you must then FTP into your PS3 through another computer on your network using a program like Filezilla. You navigate through the file structure of the PS3 to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30733/USRDIR. You are then able to replace the patch_mp.ff with one of the patches in the modified patches section.

Now you are able to Data Transfer, search "PS3 data transfer" the update data from your 3.55 CFW to the 3.66.

You cannot just load the patch or a pkg to your 3.66 via flash drive, because it cannot run unsigned code.



To find a retail console that still has 3.55 or lower you will have to check places that sell very few PS3s.

Thanks for reply, You know the Data Transfer. I'm on 3.66 Can we set up a Hamachi and can you send me the patch? When you do do the data transfer, Does it erase your whole ps3 or just the mw2 data..? As I got decent save files I need to keep

data transfering copies the the data from your jailbroken ps3 to your online ps3 & deletes everything off tht ps3 .The people who post fake 3.66 jb just want subs & all you suckers keep falling for it.Just stop looking for a 3.66 jb its probably not gonna ever get released.

Any reason someone couldn't release a data transfer dump, us backup our stuff, use their transfer to get the hacked patch, then restore our stuff (minus MW2 so it doesn't overwrite the patch)?

if tht were to happen they would most likely patch mw2 & thts something modders dont want
