so when I download it what do I do with it?
I think I have to make PS3 and UPDATE folders or something on a USB and put on PS3 and then update using the file but I'm not sure?

Yes download put file in folder. Use cap lock. PS3 then UPDATE then put file in folder then plug usb in to ps3 to then update. It allows easiest JB.

does the USB have to have nothing in it except for those files or is it ok to have other stuff on the usb?

Once you updated to 3.55 search google for Kmeaw Cfw download. Then put in usb after PS3 then UPDATE. Then install hacked FW. Then search on google 3.72 spoofer download put in usb no folder go to install package files install it then go to system setting go to data transfer utility then follow step steps for hacked FW ps3 click option 1 other ps3 on latest FW click option 2 then read instructions click yes to format latest FW ps3 then wait data transfer to complete. Post any questions.

install package files is in game section. You install like regular FW.
