I was so desperate to get this mod menu thing for mw2 that I went and bought a 3.55 ps3. I have the geohot 3.55 jailbreak installed and the "install package files" thing is there.

1. How do i now install a patch on mw2?

2.I want to use elite mossy derrick trotter v8 bles 068 (Anyone know where to get it?)

3. Can I go online with it? Wont it ask me to update to 3.72?

Now i have the comgenie awesome file manager.

I also have red dot city v6.6 patch.mp.ff

Thing is when I go to replace the patch in /dev_hdd0/game/BLES00683 There is nothing in there to replace?

I have installed MW2 but I obv have not gone online because wont it ask me to update firmware?

I have been trying all the 1.12 patches and none worked but when I installed chromes CFG patch pressing a direction on the d pad said "command line not recognised (FUN MODS)" but when i re installed it it now doesnt work at all?

Hi all have been reading around and how important is it to unplug power cable from ps3 in between steps while installing patches as I didnt do his last night and mine didnt work?

If i power down and unplug could this be what i am doing wrong?

Replace the patch_mp.ff (make sure which way you are copying)

Delete the default_mp.self only if you are using a 1.11 patch_mp.ff

Load up Modern Warfare 2 and try every button until something happens in split screen. Then data transfer if you like that patch.

Use Black Box FTP server on ps3. On your pc you will need FTP client. use the same process. better yey, you tube it. mw2 black box, but you will still have to bypass. you tube that to. its very easy, and do you have 2 ps3s

How to Create Hacked Lobbies on Co MW2 (Text Tutorial)

1. Start up your PlayStation 3 normally (without JailBreaking)
2. Delete the MW2 patch from your 'Game Data' folder on your PS3 (if you have one there)
3. Make sure an ethernet cable is plugged into your PS3, or you've got wireless turned on; you'll need to access the internet for an upcoming step
4. Start up Co MW2 from the disc (not using the Backup Manager from JailBreaking, the actual disc)
5. You should be prompted to download the v1.11 patch for Co MW2; download and install the patch
6. After the install for the patch completes, hold the PS button on your controller, and quit CoMW2. Then, turn off your PS3. Unplug the power cable from the back of the system.
7. Perform the JailBreak method that your specific device uses to boot your PS3 into JailBreak mode
8. On your PS3, run PS3 FTP Server
9. On your PC, run FileZilla (or any FTP software). Navigate to '/dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30377/USRDIR/' and look for 'patch_mp.ff' (this is the Co MW2 patch file)
10. You can replace the 'patch_mp.ff' file with any other 'patch_mp.ff' file. For this tutorial, just use the provided patch from the 'Requirements' list above (this is the GodlyModz v4 patch or the Elite Mossy patch). Simply drag and drop the modded patch over the patch on the FTP program on your PC, and overwrite it.
11. Go back to your PS3, exit PS3 FTP Server (hold PS button; Quit Game). Turn off your PS3 (using PS button, Turn Off System [this is important!] wait for the system to shut down) and unplug the power cable from it.
12. Plug the power cable back in, unplug your JailBreaking device from the system. Turn your PS3 on normally (without going into JailBreak mode)
13. Start up MW2 normally. Go to Split Screen.
14. Load up (or create if you don't have one) a split screen profile.
15. Start the match.
16. You should see 'GodlyModz' or 'Elite Mossy' on the bottom right of your screen. If you do, that means the patch worked and you have sucessfully injected a hacked patch into your system.

OMG OMG I INSTALLED THE ELITE MOSSY V8 HACK AND IT WORKED


But....

Then i tried another patch cause it was crashing, and it didnt work, now the same mossy v8 wont work ={ any reason they would stop working?

All i did by the way was swap the patch_mp.ff file then swap it back but now nothing works =[

You probably don't know how to open the menu is all. Try swigging from tactical to default controller settings if pressing every button doesn't work.
Elitemossy private patch 2 is much better.

Thanks i managed to get it to work again by deleting the .pkg and re installing it and re copying the patch file. I tried every button with the other patches literally every single button also it just said "player connected" not "SUPER DUPER MEGA PATCH EDITED BY ...." SO that why i thought it had not loaded. Where can I find the private patch v2? and is it usual that the v8 patch crashed the ps3 at the end of each map AND crashes when you use some features?

Found the private patch v2.... It still randomly crashes the ps3 is that cause its an old 40gb one and it cant handle it? Or do hacks just become unstable? is it best if i disable things before using a new thing? or is there some way of using it where it wont crash?
