We delete our MW2 (or what ever game) patches and use wireshark or ettercap or something to sniff out how S0ny send patches to our PS3s, then from there we could use a proxy method like EM does with his patch blocker to forward all requests to/from S0ny's boxes to a file on our localhost to download the patch to our PS3s and whola?


If anyone who knows the servers like the back of their hand can you contact me if this is possible because we could use PHP for the proxy server, and I'm quite good with PHP.

If any of these people's methods work, that would be cool, but since its easier to just get a jailbroken ps3, i recommended that.

just to clear up some things,
the game pkg key is the same,
its the hash signature that is not public
geohot made the cfw bypass the signature,
so if you look at a pkg made with geohot's package_finalize.exe in hxd
you will notice near the end there will be a section of 00's thats the sig
ofw needs a good sig
sig method = unknown

You can get PS3's with YLOD and on 3.41 for around £50 off Ebay YLOD isn't hard to fix haha.
