Things Needed_
1)A ps3 on ofw 4.00
2)A ps3 on fw/cfw 3.55 or lower
3)An Ethernet cable (it looks like a big blue phone line cable)
4)A usb port (storage drive) (thumb drive) (junk drive) (flash Drive)etc. Whatever you call it
5)A file manager of your choice (e.g) The Well Known "Comgenies" or Multiman or , Black Box Hooked up to a Ftp Server Such as File Zilla.
6)A modified Patch for mw2 v1.13 unless you want to bypass and stay on 1.11 But im not gonna go into that as of now.
7)A copy of mw2
8.Some Common Sense

_First Steps_
If your ps3 is on ofw 3.55 please upgrade it to 3.55cfw such as geohotz.
1) On your usb make a folder called PS3 and in that folder make another folder called UPDAT
2)Place the cfw updat.pup into that folder
3)Safley remove hardware from your computer
4)place usb into you ps3
5)goto update via storage media device
6) UPDATE!

Now that you are on Geohotz
1)Plug you usb back into your computer and on the root of your ps3 you want to put the filemanager of your choice .pkg file
this will be like Comgenies file manager signedfor 3.55cfw and will be in a .pkg form with a title such as up000pu00300-u00pu00
after you place this on the *ROOT* of your flash drive place the flash drvie into you ps3 and on the main xmb menu on your ps3 you should see a new folder under the games option called install package files.
2)CLICK IT
3)install the file called UP00023- etc..
4)now that you have the file manager installed it should show up on the list of games or programs you have downloaded from the ps store or anywhere else.
5) Now makesure that you take the patch you want to use for mw2 and place it into a folder on your usb called "ModdedMw2"
6)make sure you have mw2 installed on your ps3 with cfw/jb.
7)While having you patch on your usb the the folder go onto your filemanager on your ps3 (Makesure your usb is in your ps3)
8.Now heres the tricky part where if you F*** up, you are screwed cause you could brick your console (no worries tho)
9)While on the left side of your file manager you need to navigate to the mw2 patch currently installed on your system.
Hdd0----> game ----> blus30077----> USDIR.------> Patch_mp.ff (blus/bles code will depend on your region but should most likly be that) now once at your patch_mp.ff you want to navigate onto the right side of the file manager by pressing "of course" RIGHT on the dpad.
10) Now that your on the right side go down to any usb000# an than click it.
11) Find you patch in the folder that you labled earlier and once you are over your patch press O, than the start button to copy it over the previous mw2 patch.
12) Quit the game (file manager) and now take out mw2 from your modded ps3 and put it into your 4.00 ps3

_Data Transfer_
1)back up anything you want to save on your 4.00 ps3using the backup utility found uncder system settings.
2)after you back up all your stuff turn off you ps3 on 3.55cfw/jb and your ps3 on 4.00 and connect the two with an ether net cable.
3)turn on your 3.55cfw/jb ps3 and set your tv to display its image.
4) on that ps3 goto system settings -- data transfer utility -- and if it askes you abou the tropies and psna ccount say no to both.
5) now it should say set data transfer on the ps3 recieving the data so do as it says and set ur tv to display that ps3
6)Do what you did in step 4 but select recieving data instead of sending.
7) If all goes well you should have to reformat your 4.00 ps3 and than transfer the hacked data onto it and than have a modded mw2 patch be playable

Yes, you need 2 ps3's. Unless you have one that is on 3.55 or lower and then put a modded patch on it then update it, you must have 2.

Yo B11 what's up!
Been a long time

I see you are new to this but the rain maker dude summed it up though.

I remeber this is how I did mine it may be easier to you idk?

What you need?
1) File Manager
2) 4.00 PS3
3) 3.55 PS3 (on CFW)
4) Your MW2 Patch your gonna use.
5) MW2 Installed on your 3.55 PS3..

Also gonna let you know some patches are (actually most) 1.11 cause they tried updating the game to stop the lobbys to 1.12. But considering its been a while idk where to get 1.12 patches.

Next...

1) Get a USB and put your File Manager in a folder called PS3 or just on it doesnt matter.
2) Next get the MW2 Patch you want on your USB.
3) Go to your 3.55 CFW PS3.
4) Your gonna install the File Manager in the Install Package Files Setting under Game.
5) Considering I used Comgenies File Manager its is kinda different but after you installed that Manager you use your gonna go to (this was on Comgenies I recommend it more) the manager and click it to begin the program.
6) Your gonna be in the manager and on Comgenies you should make the screen RED.
7) Go down to game. Next go into the code your game is gonna be called I believe. (your gonna have to get the game disc and look for a Code should be next to where the MW2 Infinty Ward Sign is... should start out BLUS for USA and BLES or U.K.
Keep going in till you see the patch_mp.ff... Just a reminder the left side is your PS3 the Right is the USB
9) Next you are gonna go into the USB whitch should be on the right side of the screen. Go into the USB and find what folder you put your modded patch in... should be patch_mp.ff still..
10) Copy it over to the right side ( Your PS3) from the USB.
11) Now your patch is on the 3.55 PS3 but what the next prob is... you cant go online....
12) Just make sure you should copy the patch in twice or 3xs just to make sure its in...
13) Now go to your other PS3 and turn it on... ( 4.00 PS3)
14) Get your Ethernet Cable and plug both PS3's up together.
15) Go down into System>System Settings>ata Transfer Utility.
16) Go into the transfer and set the 3.55 Ps3 sending and the 4.00 Recieving and start the transfer...
17) Update your 4.00 Ps3 back into 4.00 cause it will be 3.55.
1 Start MW2 and it should be ready with your modded Patch!!!

-Note : I am Canadian so IDK if I explained it righht but i know I have it all right till the data transfer.
Also I never really modded MW2 now days cause its 4.00. I modded it back on 3.55 when it was easier!!!

Ay tho not bad ay? Comsidering its been a while.

in order to bypass you must 1st transfer the 1.11 patch from your jb console to your 4.00 console. make sure you delete the default_mp.ff or no one will be able to connect to you. also keep in mid that they must be bypassing as well in order to connect. now you connect it to patch blocker, and thats about it theres not much to say about patch block, you setup the proxy and DONT test the connection. then sign in to your account AFTER you start mw2. let me know if you have any trouble
