Of course Activision must be pretty grateful that they eventually caved into Infinity Ward's ambitions, especially considering that Call of Duty 4 sold around 14 million copies, and the follow up is looking to smash that record.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Everyone just assumes that Treyarch and IW can make whatever the **** they want. They have to answer to Activision. Since Activision let IW make MW I bet they had Treyarch make the final WW2 series of the franchise. I'm willing to bet there will be no more WW2 games from Treyarch, the missions were on the last days of WW2. Soon enough, Modern Warfare will be the thing everyone's bitching about. MW2 does look a little easy imo.
Well, Call of duty 4 was the top seller of 2008 and was up there in 2009. They sold millions of copies and made lots of money. I don't think activision made them go back to WW2. Treyarch couldn't keep Modern Warfare and improve the game, as the guns would have to be the same and the gameplay wouldn't of been changed.

Well Im thinking Vietnam or Cold War from Treyarch. Then MW3. Then Hopefully after MW3 some mega only Online Game. 
oh and Maybe A Full Zombie Game Fom Treyarch:cool:

From what i've seen so far MW2 will be pretty good but still...they do a good job on anti-spwan killing but some noobs just dont deserve to get someone elses kit or invincibility for 10 secconds its just wrong they deserve to DIE without ending up dieing by an invincible noob killing me with my own class or some other one using tactical insertion to come up behind me while im sniping it gets on my nerves when someone kills me with my own gun LET ALONE my own class.

as someone who played 25 days on cod 5 before recently switching back to cod 4, i have to say that cod 4 is just all around a more well done and fun game to play. besides, cod 5 is basically just cod 4 in the ww2 time period, there was absolutely nothing new about it that set it apart from cod 4. when cod 4 came out, it was a totally new experience. as we can see from all the articles and videos of mw2, it is a completely redesigned game that brings us some variety we havent seen in 2 years. all i can say is that my expectations are that mw2 will blow away both cod 4 and 5.
